Nothing short of being actually set on fire was going to stop Ben from being in the salle today.

Leto was going to show him how to use those knives! If Ben were the type to squeal, he'd be squealing. Since he wasn't, he'd shown up ten minutes before the time they were supposed to meet.

You know, just in case.

Tahiri laughed and flushed a little. "Maybe . . ."

It had seemed like a better thing to say than to suggest she was just here to gawk at her boyfriend. "I'll do my best not to have him injured," Leto replied.

Well, okay, she was here to do that too, but she also had an interest in him keeping his limbs. "I'd appreciate that," Tahiri told him. "I really don't want to have to kick you."

That was sweet! Leto smirked. "As I said, I will do my best so that you don't have to resort to that."

"Good. Don't let me distract you two," Tahiri told him.

Yay for innuendo going right over her head again.
