Second Floor Common Room, Wednesday Evening

It was an incredibly cheerful Firekeeper and Blind Seer who made their way to the common room at the usual time. A good hunt will do that.

A good hunt also works up an appetite, as it's meant to do, and since eating the harpies hardly seemed appealing, they'd risked a quick run to Pizza Planet to bring back a victory meal.

It was an exhausted and well-scrubbed (three showers) Tony who joined her. "You have pizza," he said, flopping down on the couch. "That is the best thing ever." He grabbed himself a slice.

"We hunt, so, there should be food," Firekeeper offered by way of explanation.

"Food good," Tony agreed. He paused and frowned at his slice of pizza. "There's no harpy on here, right?"

Firekeeper shook her head. "Harpy meat is not for eating," she said firmly.

"Good," Tony said, taking a large bite of pizza. "They're probably poisonous. Did you guys hunt a lot of harpies today?"

"I not be surprised if that is such," Firekeeper commented. "Many! Though, I not count them. From your words, I think you also join the hunt today?"

Tony nodded. "I did what I could. Mostly I just annoyed and distracted them."

"Oh, hello," she said, grinning and poking her head into the common room. "You look as if you've had a good day, the both of you."

"The hunt was good, today," Firekeeper confirmed with a grin. "You?"

"I dropped a few of them in the ocean," she shared, wandering in. "It was a lot like old times, really. I haven't had a battle in sometime."

"I also have not," Firekeeper admitted. "Game on this island is too small for wolves." That complaint wasn't entirely true; wolves could subsist just fine on small game. They just preferred not to.

"Less war here, for me," she explained. "And no bandits even. Are you a werewolf then? I knew one once, he wore a lot of orange and spent most of the time being touchy because some people didn't like it, which really is silly when the Kobolds and elves get along just fine with humans."

For the most part.

"Am no werewolf," Firekeeper shook her head. At least she actually knew what the term meant, now, thanks to Fandom classes. "I am only having one shape. But, was raised wolf."

"That's a new one--you would fit in back home quite well," Viki decided. "There's a lot of people who go their own paths and don't care what others think and do unless it directly affects them."

Tony waved wearily.

She beamed over at him. "I don't really remember you," Viki admitted, "but my memory is awful, so if I ought to, please do not be offended. Have you enjoyed the day? You do look quite tired, you know."

"I'm Tony," he said. "I wouldn't say enjoyed? But... it was kinda cool."

"Viki," she said cheerfully. "And I had fun as well, though I imagine that they had rather less so. Which is all well and good from my point of view, but more than likely not from theirs."

"Their idea of fun is throwing shit at people," Tony said. "I think I can live with them not enjoying themselves."

Tahiri was clean again by the time she made it down to the second floor for Darkest Night (the name always made her think of Zekk, she couldn't help it), and what you could see of her skin was bright red, like she'd scrubbed it almost raw. Especially her feet.

Someone might have learned a valuable lesson about appropriate times for footwear. Maybe.

"Ugh," she said, flopping into a chair.

"Good hunting?"

"Messy hunting," Tahiri said. "I was out in the preserve with Ben. Did you have to deal with those smelly things too?"

"Yes!" Firekeeper was still grinning pretty much ear-to-ear. "Once I was sure they-" she broke off abruptly. "-Was not wrongly transformed to such." As far as recoveries went, it wasn't much of one. Blame the fact that she wasn't entirely used to lying.

Tahiri's eyebrows went up slightly at the (pretty obvious) recovery. "Wrongly transformed people appreciate that, I bet," she said carefully. "Where were you for the fighting?"

"If you're going to live with humans, you might need to think about learning how to lie like them," Blind Seer suggested. Firekeeper just rolled her eyes at him.

"On the roof, here," Firekeeper said, gesturing at the ceiling.
