Second Floor Common Room, Wednesday Evening

It was an incredibly cheerful Firekeeper and Blind Seer who made their way to the common room at the usual time. A good hunt will do that.

A good hunt also works up an appetite, as it's meant to do, and since eating the harpies hardly seemed appealing, they'd risked a quick run to Pizza Planet to bring back a victory meal.

Tony got the hackles-raised vibe off her anyway, despite lack of physical hackles. "Is that a problem?" he asked tightly.

Firekeeper's fingers dug into the fur at Blind Seer's neck as she reminded herself that this place was much like New Kelvin, or Liglim, in their approach to magic. "Where I am being from, this would be," it was an answer, after a fashion.

"I not like magic much," she admitted. "Too many I know have been hurt by it." She'd trusted Tony enough to tell him her real name, and it was her hope that that trust wasn't misplaced that led her to admit that much.

Tony nodded, relaxing slightly. This, at least, he could understand. "I know what kind of damage magic can do," he said. "I've seen it. But that's not what I do."

"There's no scent of lies about him. And if you want my opinion, he's about as far from Lady Melina as one can get," Blind Seer commented around a yawn.

Some of the tenseness left Firekeeper at that. "Am glad to hear this," she told Tony.

What a coincidence, so did she. That worked out nicely. "We could have perhaps been using your help before we comed to this place, then," Firekeeper commented wryly.

"I telled you some of Sapphire, I think?" Firekeeper asked. "Her mother do this wicked magic, maked her feel as if a wound she receive was still fresh, long after it heal. She also geld Jet for trying to act on his lust," privately, she'd felt that such treatment wasn't exactly undeserved, but the method still unsettled her. "And, she try and feed Citrine to a dragon." Basically, the woman made a better sorceress than a mother.

Tony winced in guy sympathy for Jet, whoever he was. The other stuff sounded nasty, too, but... yikes. "She sounds horrible," he said. "Though I probably wouldn't have been much help. I'm still learning."
