Aravis had a horse. She knew there were several others who had horses, too -- she'd said good morning to those horses when she'd carefully gotten Trenor out -- but she felt hers was the best. Clearly.

So, Aravis, her pockets full of apples, was carefully walking Trenor around the yard, and had located a mounting block (plus there was a little bit of fencing she could climb up, if she needed) for later.

[ARAVIS WILL GIVE HORSIE RIDES. So, um, open. I go into heeeeeavy SP at 4 EST though.]

"I'm nine," Tahiri said proudly. "And I'm learning all kinds of things I never got to learn when I was living with the Sand People. They don't read or write, you know, but Master Luke says I'm a fast learner and I've picked it up already. There's not a whole lot of anything to do on Tatooine, actually."

"Nine's big! Bigger than Maddy." Dinah nodded hard. "No more boring Sand Peoples! Yaaay! And here we can play with the horsies and the balloons and the swords and tell stories and everything!"

Tahiri's big green eyes lit up with an idea. "Tionne said we can use the Force to slow us down when we fall. I wonder if I can jump off the building and try it?"

Um.

Bad idea, tiny (tinier than usual) Tahiri. Bad idea.

"Eeeeee!"

Like Dinah would know that? "Uh-hunh uh-hunh, let's do that!" Hopping around like grasshopper, Dinah clapped her hands and squealed. "YAY!"

"But you can't use the Force," Tahiri said dubiously, "and I'm supposed to help keep people from getting hurt, not let them get hurt!"

"Oh, but, but...." Wibble-face. "You moved that leaf! I'm not that big! Please? Pleeeeeease?"

"You're lots bigger than a leaf though, and I'm barely starting on little twigs," Tahiri protested. She didn't like it when people made sad faces at her like that, because it made her sad too.

Dinah looked very sad. "C'n I watch maybe? Maybe?" And maybe Tahiri would change her mind!

"Maybe," Tahiri conceded. "There's lots of stuff to do around here though! Maybe I won't have time."

"Storytime? I have to go find more stories for Tionne's collection!" Tahiri blurted out.
