5th Floor Common Room, Monday Morning

A weekend of weirdness had happened in Fandom, and the only potentially embarrassing thing Francine had done? Had no witnesses. This was an event of epic proportions, and called for a celebration of epic proportions.

Or, you know, French Toast.

Because she really could make breffast.

Lots and lots of breffast, as it turned out.

[Open! Syrupy!]

Jeff seemed to take a moment to actively consider that question. "In general or do you mean specific to a conversation?" he asked at last.
intraspective: (temperance)

[personal profile] intraspective 2009-03-16 03:53 pm (UTC)(link)
"Both," she said, sipping on her juice. "It's always good to get the most complete answer possible, after all."

[identity profile] scary-jeff.livejournal.com 2009-03-16 04:00 pm (UTC)(link)
"I don't think I'm dying right now," he answered, still thinking. "I mean, technically, we all sort of wind up dead, but I'm not bleeding or anything."
intraspective: (talking in class)

[personal profile] intraspective 2009-03-16 04:04 pm (UTC)(link)
"Not bleeding is generally a good sign," she decided. "So maybe you're not dying right this second, which is a good thing. How was your weekend?"

[identity profile] scary-jeff.livejournal.com 2009-03-16 04:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, Jeff's brain was going to be working around the clock today.

"I'm not actually sure," is what he offered her. "I think I may have been an animal. Or a rock."
intraspective: (are you REALLY sure)

[personal profile] intraspective 2009-03-16 04:13 pm (UTC)(link)
She glanced over, a bit dubiously.

"You didn't get kidified?"

[identity profile] scary-jeff.livejournal.com 2009-03-16 04:23 pm (UTC)(link)
"Fairly sure I was a rock," Jeff said, nodding, "Like Dick used to be. I've been a rock before. Turtle didn't like it much, she felt I was sort of inappropriate."
intraspective: (studying yeah I hear you)

[personal profile] intraspective 2009-03-16 04:32 pm (UTC)(link)
"Somehow," she said, sounding a bit resigned, "it doesn't surprise me that you'd be an inappropriate sort of rock. Is it peaceful being a rock? I've never been."

And hoped she never would be, honestly.

There was a beat as Jeff, once again, thought about it.

"I don't know," is what he came up with, "All I remember is that it was a bit itchy."
intraspective: (are you REALLY sure)

[personal profile] intraspective 2009-03-16 04:40 pm (UTC)(link)
"...now I've got the horribly feeling I'm going to wonder if all rocks are itchy, all the time, and I think that'd be a horrible way of being."

"Maybe it's different for those who aren't rocks recreationally," Jeff said, "Maybe it gets less pervasive through practice."

[personal profile] intraspective 2009-03-16 05:06 pm (UTC)(link)
"Or it could be worse," Ino pointed out. "If they've been rocks for a long long time."

[identity profile] scary-jeff.livejournal.com 2009-03-16 05:18 pm (UTC)(link)
"We could try holding a survey?" Jeff tried. All that thinking brought him to a very simple conclusion. "We should bring Dor."
intraspective: (Working!)

[personal profile] intraspective 2009-03-16 05:21 pm (UTC)(link)
"Dor?" Ino asked, wracking her brains for who that was. "Oh! The one that added things to my garden without asking me!"

[identity profile] scary-jeff.livejournal.com 2009-03-16 05:30 pm (UTC)(link)
"He makes things talk," Jeff explained, nodding a bit. "It sounds bad, but it really isn't. Once he made the television ask me for a hug. I never knew the telly was that nice."
intraspective: (talking in class)

[personal profile] intraspective 2009-03-16 05:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Ino was just going to give the television a long look.

"So I guess asking the rocks would be no problem then," she said, a bit warily. "I suppose we could do that."

[identity profile] scary-jeff.livejournal.com 2009-03-16 05:45 pm (UTC)(link)
"There's probaby some sort of rocks anonymous, if they're all itchy..." he pondered.
intraspective: (talking in class)

[personal profile] intraspective 2009-03-16 05:51 pm (UTC)(link)
"But how?" Ino wasn't sure that was even possible. "Can they, like, move 'round when people aren't watching? Or do their voices just travel a lot?"

[identity profile] scary-jeff.livejournal.com 2009-03-16 06:05 pm (UTC)(link)
"There could be rock language," Jeff replied. He was trying to think this through here. "Or maybe Dor just hangs out a lot with rocks."
intraspective: (Default)

[personal profile] intraspective 2009-03-16 07:04 pm (UTC)(link)
"I'd think it'd be hard to get away from them if you were outside a lot," she noted. "Seeing as how they make up the ground, and stuff."

[identity profile] scary-jeff.livejournal.com 2009-03-16 07:15 pm (UTC)(link)
"..."

Jeff looked at her. Some bits were connecting in his brain.

"Do you think," he started, "he's ever made your garden talk?"
intraspective: (are you REALLY sure)

[personal profile] intraspective 2009-03-16 07:21 pm (UTC)(link)
...

Ino wasn't entirely sure she liked that idea.

"I hope not," she said, a bit dubiously. "Though I can't imagine my garden saying anything bad 'bout me."

[identity profile] scary-jeff.livejournal.com 2009-03-16 07:23 pm (UTC)(link)
"It just seems useful. Although what would they be saying? 'Water me, water me' like some deranged... tea... thing?" Jeff had nightmares.
intraspective: (talking in class)

[personal profile] intraspective 2009-03-16 07:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Jeff was going to give her nightmares.

"Or things like 'taaaaalk to us more...' and stuff." Ino shuddered. "That's creepy, really."
