A weekend of weirdness had happened in Fandom, and the only potentially embarrassing thing Francine had done? Had no witnesses. This was an event of epic proportions, and called for a celebration of epic proportions.

Or, you know, French Toast.

Because she really could make breffast.

"Heh, yeah," Hurley said. "Lucky enough, my mom still totally doesn't know anything about what happens here."

"Do you think you'll, like, tell her anything?" Ino wondered. "When you leave here?"

Hurley thought for a second. "Dude, I think she'd think I was lying. Or crazy."

"Write novels!" Ino chirped. "And you can totally make Fandom out to just be your imagination!"

"Man, that's a pretty good idea," Hurley said. "Not much of a writer, but... I could try."

"And that way you could tell your mom 'bout it all," she nodded. "'Cause then she'd just think you were talking 'bout the plot of your books."

"That's pretty smart," Hurley said. "Though I kinda wonder what'll happen if she comes here for, like, graduation."

"...filming a movie?" Ino tried brightly. "We, uh, tend to have disasters at grad."

"Wait, what?" Hurley said.

"Last year it was evil fairies," she explained. "Attacking during the ceremony, and apparently the year before that, aliens blew up the school."

Grad was, in Ino's opinion, cursed.

"...Evil fairies?" Hurley repeated.

She nodded.

"Went right for the grads," she said.

"Dude. That's kinda... worrying," Hurley said.

"Stick close to the badass fighters," Ino advised. "They'll be able to help if there's trouble this year."

"Well, I don't graduate til next year," Hurley admitted. "But yeah.

Ino squinted. "I thought you were this year?"

"I'm only a junior," Hurley said.
