After making an appearance in class, Angela was in need of something to cleanse her mind of the zombie movie clips. With everything going on, watching all that just made her feel a little ill.

That was why the television was tuned firmly to Nickelodeon, for something silly and distracting.

She was clutching a mug of hot chocolate, and had that hockey stick she'd picked up lying across her lap. Better safe than... something else.

"It's not that hard to be a better influence than me," he said, grinning.

"At least let me pretend it's an accomplishment," Angela said.

Chuck shook his head. "Nuh-uh. I'm afraid I can't give you that one."

"Aw, why not, Chuck?" she asked.

"It's too easy," Chuck said. "Come on, everybody has straighter moral compass than I do."

"I'm sorry to break this to you, but I'm sure there are a lot of people out there who outstrip you in the evil stakes," Angela said.

"Can you name one?" he asked.

"That I know personally?" Angela asked. "No. But that's because I don't hang out with creeps like that."

"But you hang out with me," Chuck said thoughtfully. "That makes me feel special."

"Unlike some people, I don't actually think you're evil," she said.

"Oooh, did someone tell you that I was evil?" Chuck asked, sitting up. "Who did I piss off? I bet I could guess."

"I thought you said you pissed off a lot of people lately?" Angela said.

"I have. I actually managed to piss off more people since our little picnic," Chuck said. "...I'm beginning to think it's a spring thing."

He was just wondering if people were making formal complaints to his friends.

"Something in the water?" she suggested.

"Wouldn't more people be pissing other people off then?" he asked. Well. Pleading water insanity would explain the thing with Dean, actually.

"Tailored specifically to you?" she tried.

"I don't know, I'm making this up as I go along."

Chuck smirked. "How about we just blame my inherent nature and leave it at that? It'll save us both a lot of brainpower."

"That's fine by me," she decided.

"Obviously I'm immune to this inherent nature. Or, you aren't trying hard enough, maybe."

"I wouldn't want to piss you off," Chuck said. "But you have fallen for other aspects that are inherent to my nature. Several times, if I recall correctly."

"You say fallen, like I didn't know exactly what I was getting in to," she remarked.

"Ah, see, that's part of my skill," Chuck said with a firm nod. "I make you think like you knew what you were getting into. But really it was all me. And you fell for it."

Yeah he had no idea what he was talking about.

"Well, I've learned from my experiences," she said. "Not falling for it again."

"You know, that's the second time I've heard that this week," he said, snickering. "You people are acting like you didn't even enjoy yourselves."

"I never said it wasn't fun," she said, with a little huff of laughter.

"Just making sure," Chuck said. "I'd hate to think I wasn't pulling my weight."
