Their master had spoken, and the zombie horde obeyed. He demanded the fresh blood of Fandom's children as a sacrifice upon his altar, new minions to begin the invasion of the mainland, and so they would carry out his command.

No matter what.

From somewhere undefined a drum beat carried on the wind, and the zombies of Fandom marched forth, the dorms beckoning them like a beacon. Here there be brains, here there be blood, here there be flesh.

Here, there be prey.

Romeo's arm stuck for an instant and, when he wrenched it back, it was covered in bloody goop.

Well. That shirt was a loss, and this was gross as well as terrifying.

Romeo bared his teeth in Toby in return and brought his (clean) gun hand forward toward Toby's skull, trying to knock him out with the butt of the pistol. Could zombies be knocked out? Romeo would find out.

Toby wasn't knocked out per se, but he did begin crying tears of thick, green puss in an outpouring of bizarre zombie emotion.

And then he swooned, falling to the ground in a heap.

Wincing, Romeo kicked Toby in the rotting ribs as hard as he could in an effort to keep him down before retreating.

He'd double Toby's salary for the next month, if they got through this.
