Turtle was up bright and early to set up the table for prom ticket sales, updating the signs a little with a bit more glitter. She had nice and orderly clipboards laid out, especially for the king and queen voting, but there were also various little snacks and treats set out for people to nibble on, too, thanks to Student Council and, of course, Turtle & Canary. Needless to say, they were all being served on Westing Paper Products.

Turtle settled in and got ready to sell some tickets.

But be warned. Turtle is contemplating if she can spot any good angles to convince people to buy significantly more than what they needed. Somehow.

Joan and her Wokling stopped by to purchase tickets on her way to lunch.

"Hey, Turtle, how are sales going?"

"So far, so good," Turtle said, unable to keep from staring at the Wokling a little. She shook her head.

"Those things," she decided, "will never cease to freak me out a little."

"Aw, I think he's cute," Joan said. "Can I get two tickets?"

"Cute, but in that kind of creepy way," Turtle felt it necessary to add, before swiping up a few tickets for Joan and letting her know the price, although she probably already knew it. "Who are you going with?"

"Marco," Joan said, bouncing her Wokling on her hip. "Chuck promised to find a sitter for this little guy."

Turtle's face went through a range of expressions, basically making it clear that a great many things passed through her mind just then, none of which she was rude enough to put actual words to. Not that she needed to.

"Well," she concluded, cryptically, "have fun with that."

Yes, she might have hit a special emphasis on the word boyfriend.

Turtle didn't know it, but there was money she could be saving. Money! Didn't she want to save all that money?

So it stared at her to let her know this crucial fact.

Okay, now she was starting to get a little creeped out.

Turtle just stared at it a little more. She would have just gone over and picked it up, but if there was a pile of money just sitting out in the open (with eyes on it, no less), it was likely that someone had planted it there and she was so not falling for that.

"PROM? Is this WEEKEND?!?!" Sokka asked. "Oh, CRAP! I need tickets! ...Uh. Are alumni coming in? It's an important question."

"It's junior/senior only," Turtle explained, "except by invite. For example, I was only a sophomore last year," this was all very lofty, "but got to go because Jeff was a junior. So, if you invite your alumna girlfriend, Sokka, you may. I would snag two tickets just to be sure, you know?"
