Second Floor Common Room, Wednesday Evening

Firekeeper and Blind Seer wandered in to the common room at the usual time for Darkest Night, only to find... reruns. Bah.

Oh well. Just because she'd seen this episode before wasn't going to stop her from watching it again.

Hurley poked his head into the common room, then grinned and bounded over.

"You're back!" he said.

"Am," she nodded. "Few days, now." The name of the exact day she'd come back escaped her at the moment.

Dinah came up the stairs, swinging her new bike helmet by her fingers, then swerved to enter the Common Room when she caught sight of Blysse and Blind Seer. "Hi! Is it a new one?" She flopped down at the other end of the couch, and put the helmet on the floor.

"No," she managed to look almost as disappointed by this as she had when she'd found out she'd missed fighting zombies. "We see before. Is one with war... flashbacks?" it took her a moment to remember the term.

"That's awesome," Hurley said. "We missed you."

"Ooo, right, the one in the trenches?" Dinah asked. Lee was particularly shirtless in that one. "Or the one with the crazy Nazis?" She grinned at Blind Seer and reached over to scratch behind his ears. "You guys settling back in?"

"Hey Hurley," Dinah said, the realized she had no popcorn, and got up to make some, searching the cupboards for it. "You done with exams yet?"

"I miss too," Firekeeper admitted. "But too much noise and people here. Not so much used to it."

"Hey Dinah," Hurley said. "Yep. Had 'em both yesterday. You?"

"One left on Friday," she said, finding a bowl and finally, popcorn. She popped a bag in the microwave. "Movies. Mr. Dex already told us what it was going to be on, but it doesn't help much. Are you sticking around all summer?"

"So, like, you figured out a way home and stuff?" Hurley said.

"Trenches," Firekeeper said with a nod. "Settling, yes. Joan no mind having to share room again, so is good."

"I'm gonna visit home for a little bit," Hurley said. "But yeah, I'm planning on being around this summer. Got jobs to keep, and all."

"Yay, Joan," Dinah said comfortably, handing putting the bowl in the middle of the couch. "And yay, shirtless Lee. Although not shirtless Mason." She frowned. "I should check the internet, see if Darkest Night got renewed yet or not."

"No," she shook her head. "Preserve is more like home than this castle, so. We goed there."

"Renew?"

"I know you said you have more than one-- one's the flower shop, right? Where's the other one?" Dinah bit her lip, thinking. "Maybe I should get a job this summer. If I'm not in too many workshops."

"Renew, um, for a TV series, that's when they decide to make more new ones," Dinah clarified. "So, next fall, there's be all new stories that they've written and filmed. They were supposed to decide this week if they'd do that, or stop. Tony probably knows already."

Hurley wasn't quite following. "Everything was cool and stuff?" he said, thinking he was just being slow.

"Groovy Tunes," Hurley said. "I'm there every Saturday."

"Oh," Firekeeper nodded, reaching for a handful of popcorn. "I hope they is making more, then!"

Francine had been making her way down from the roof towards her own floor, but when she heard the sounds of the Darkest Night theme rising up the stairwell, she just kept on heading down.

When she poked her head into the common room and saw who was there, her small smile turned to a wide one. "Firekeeper! You're back!"

"Preserve was quiet," she confirmed with a nod. "This is cool, yes." Hey, at least she knew the slang meaning of the word now.

"Cool. That's got to be a good job." Dinah frowned, thinking. "Mostly I've babysat, and done fast food. I don't want to work at Mooby Land."

"Me too." Dinah TK'd a bite of popcorn into her mouth with a lot more finesse than she'd had at the beginning of the semester. Fighting over it with Tony was good practice. "I do wonder if Tony will go to Vancouver to see those guys this summer, then." Especially Lee.
