The Salle, Monday Morning

The lack of classes meant Arthur would be spending more time in the salle than usual (if that was even possible), and he hadn't wasted too much time getting there that morning. His arm was coming along nicely, and so he took a practice blade for his left.

Might as well get some simple drills in while he waited.

"Of course," he said, then paused, and added, "Don't they have blacksmiths in your time?"

"For this, no," Ben said with a grin. "It's a test of a Jedi's skill, that we make the weapon we wield."

"A weapon for one's self," Arthur echoed, "I've heard. Still, a flawed weapon can be as dangerous as having none at all."

"It's why I'm not using it yet," Ben said. "I can feel that it's not right and I prefer having all of my limbs attached."

There had been mention of that being a risk in Ben's family before, yes. "Try not to remove any limbs during your training, either," he wished, graciously, and shot Ben a slight smile. "Good luck with your new weapon."

Ben grinned back. "Thanks. It should be finished by the end of the summer."

"And properly balanced, I hope."

He couldn't quite resist the urge, no, but it was meant in good humor.

Ben snickered. "If it's not, I'll start again."
