Main Campfire, Tuesday Evening

Alex felt restless enough to emerge from his alcove and head out to the main campfire again. It was easier to both smoke and stay warm since it'd gotten weirdly cold over the last few days. Whatever. He was from Iowa. He was used to this type of weather.

Didn't mean he would pass up a fire.

So, he slouched down against a log, crossing his feet at the ankle and leaning back to blow smoke into the air. It was the second week of classes and, amazingly, they weren't going that badly. Of course, considering the classes, Alex didn't know how they could go badly.

He'd take the good news while he could. It didn't happen often.

"You would be correct in that," he agreed with a nod. "But, can't do that sitting around a fire in the middle of a group of people. I'm making due. For now."

She glanced over at him, trying not to laugh. "Oh, is that how it works?"

"It does unless you're a fan of exhibitionism," he said, nodding. "If you're not a fan, you excuse yourself to somewhere more private."

"I'm so glad you explained that," she deadpanned. "Definitely a fan of some place more private."

"Oh, look at that, so am I," he said, feigning surprise. "What are the odds? Do you know a good some place private?"

"There's the curtained cabins," she said, not really thinking that was a good option. "My four days here haven't answered that question beyond that."

"Not unless you want possible interruptions," Alex said, smirking. "It's why we have dorm rooms. And other out of the way places in town."

"Dorm rooms are good," she commented. "Since everyone's down here."

"Would you like to see my dorm room?" he asked. Hey, if she said no, he wouldn't care. If she said yes, hey, he could play tour guide very well.

Rose was a complete fan of doing something wild, and she gave him a look. "Always wanted to see one," she said. "And I'm sure you'll be good at showing it off."

"I will be," he agreed confidently. One moment longer and he was standing up and waiting for her. "Come on, then. The door locks. And I've got all night."

She up standing a second after him. "Good to know. Lead the way. Alex."

Didn't need to tell him twice. With that, he nodded his head in the direction of the dorms and started towards them.
