The edge of the campgrounds, early Thursday morning

Dinah had left a message for Priestly, and was now warming up and stretching on the edge of the campground-- and trying not to squee too loudly about the moose. A tiny little stampede of them was rushing across the path.

Maybe they could race them through the preserve? Moose running?

"If only more animals could be so adorable," Morgana replied with a laugh. "What brings you out so early?"

"Going for a run with my friend Priestly. Have you met him yet?" Dinah checked. "Cute, green eyes, hair done up like," she made a gesture, trying to think how it'd be described to someone who didn't know 'mohawk', "Shark fin, or a blade?"

"Oh yes, the boy with the tall hair," Morgana said. "We haven't spoken, but he's difficult to miss."

Dinah grinned. "He really is. He has fun challenging Arthur about political stuff-- okay, maybe not fun," she corrected herself. "But he can't stop himself. We've been buds since the first day we got here. Are you meeting a lot of other new people?"

"Quite a lot, yes. It's rather unavoidable, with so many people around. I finally met my roommate - she arrived late, but I believe she's gotten settled in without too much trouble."

"Cool, what floor are you guys on?" Dinah asked, tilting her head."You're taking all of this a lot easier than Arthur did. Does. More like Merlin's taken to it, mostly." She grinned. "Except for maybe one or two food experiments."

"We're up on the fourth floor," Morgana said, smiling softly as she thought about Dinah's observation. "I suppose I'm helped by Arthur and Merlin being here. They've been here for months, and they're still healthy and in good form, and happy. As happy as Arthur ever gets, at least," she added. "If this were a truly horrible place, he would have found a way for me to get home. Since he hasn't, I'm just trying to stay open-minded."

"Yeah, he is protective like that." Morgana's observation of as happy as he ever gets had her wondering. "So what does make him happy, aside from fighting things and winning?"

"Getting to save the day, being adored for fighting things and winning..." Morgana smirked. "He has a great deal of responsibility on his shoulders. It's difficult to be content when then fate of an entire kingdom is going to rest in your hands someday. I imagine the training helps as well, letting him be in control of people and all."

"He does get bored easily," Dinah said, smirking a little, then frowned. "It's weird, when I've tried to thank him for stuff, he's blown me off. But then, I wasn't adoring him, just saying 'nice job'. Well, when he's not saying 'don't throw yourself at me,'" she finished up, rolling her eyes. "So what are your favorite things to do?"

"Oh, I don't know," Morgana replied, certain that her hobbies were a lot less interesting than Arthur's. "I like to go out and ride horses. There's so much to see in Camelot and the surrounding villages."

"Have you been to the Gig yet?" Dinah asked, brightening. "They hire out horses. Well, I guess you brought your own, but my friend Blysse works there, if you want to ride another one. Have you gotten the grand tour of the place from your big Sib yet?"

"I haven't been out there, nor have I gotten a grand tour," Morgana said. "Was I supposed to? Should I be bothering my big brother for one?"

"It's not set in stone or anything, I just know it helped me get settled when I first got here, to know where the shops were, and which direction the Causeway was, and what the beaches were like. If you don't want to bother him, I'll be happy to give you one sometime," Dinah offered. "You should at least know where the Clinic is. And Jeff, God of Biscuits!"

"There is a god here?" Morgana asked. "That is, I would greatly appreciate a tour, if it wouldn't be an inconvenience."

Dinah facepalmed, especially in light of stuff Gabrielle and Fiona had been saying that week. "Um, no. It's a metaphor, or hyperbole-- the shop just makes really yummy pastries." She looked sheepish, then brightened. "It wouldn't at all be inconvenient, if you think your Big Sib isn't up for it. Is this weekend good for you?"

"Eventually, I'm sure I'll understand all of these things," Morgana said. "This weekend would be perfect."

"Cool. I'm guessing you don't have a phone yet. Why don't we plan for Sunday afternoon?" Dinah offered. "We can see whatever you like."

Morgana looked pleased as she nodded. "That would be lovely."

Somewhere, Arthur might have been feeling a foreboding sense of doom.
