LBJ Campfire, Thursday Night

Sometime during the day, Sam had come to a sad realization - he hadn't had nearly enough s'mores for the amount of time they'd been out at the cabins. When the evening rolled around and the sun finally went down, he lit the cabin's campfire and set himself up with all the necessary supplies, to cook for himself and for anyone else who sat down.

It wasn't long before he figured out that his marshmallow roasting stick was also good for keeping tiny moose away from the fire. It was kind of amazing how this place still found ways to weird him out, even after all this time.

"Frost, darling. Emma Frost," she replied smoothly. "No, I don't think so. Are you one of the usual inmates, or another new arrival?"

"This summer is my first," Jennifer said. "So, not really an inmate, I think. Though I guess I'm on my way to becoming one."

"Same," Emma said, eying the... puppy-looking-boy-thing warily. "I think it's a case of 'we're all mad here.'"

Jennifer nodded. "But it's a good mad. I think."

"I've seen worse-mad." After all, Emma lived with Hank. "But the tiny moose are a bit odd."

"But cute," Jennifer said. "In a... majestic beast in pocket size form sort of way."

"I liked the glitter better," Emma sighed. "At least that had class."

"It was nice," Jennifer said. "But hard to get out of my hair."

"Well, yes, but all the girls looked fantastic," Emma pointed out. "I got to hear all about how sometimes glitter makes the boys kiss, and then use that information to traumatize other new people."

Jennifer blinked. "Make the boys kiss what?"

"Make the boys kiss other boys, darling," she explained slowly. "Apparently glitter on this island causes a phenomena known as 'boykissy.'"

Jennifer was from California, this didn't really surprise her.

"Well, I guess I was on the wrong part of the island that day, if that was happening."

"I didn't see it either, but I had multiple sources swear it to be so," Emma replied. "They might be trying to pull one over on the new girl, but it seems like something this island would do."

"I wonder what rain causes the opposite to happen," Jennifer said.
