LBJ Campfire, Thursday Night

Sometime during the day, Sam had come to a sad realization - he hadn't had nearly enough s'mores for the amount of time they'd been out at the cabins. When the evening rolled around and the sun finally went down, he lit the cabin's campfire and set himself up with all the necessary supplies, to cook for himself and for anyone else who sat down.

It wasn't long before he figured out that his marshmallow roasting stick was also good for keeping tiny moose away from the fire. It was kind of amazing how this place still found ways to weird him out, even after all this time.

"So . . . guess maybe keeping 'em might not be the best idea. They were made to roam free, anyway. . . ."

"The poor Canadian moose probably would want to go back to Canada," she agreed.

"Maybe they have more people to cater to them here?"

"Probably a lot less of them going 'oh holy crap, tiny moose!'"

"And we're not trying to stick them in a tiny zoo."

"That would just be cruel."

"Very sad," she agreed. "Think they'll disappear tonight? I keep hearing that everything only sticks around for a day or two."

"For the most part. Yeah, they'll probably wander off tonight. Dunno if we'll see 'em again."

"Enjoy 'em while you got 'em?" Rose said wryly. "You must be Priestly, huh? Dinah mentioned you earlier."

"Good things, I hope? And, uh, yeah. I'm Priestly."
