LBJ Campfire, Thursday Night

Sometime during the day, Sam had come to a sad realization - he hadn't had nearly enough s'mores for the amount of time they'd been out at the cabins. When the evening rolled around and the sun finally went down, he lit the cabin's campfire and set himself up with all the necessary supplies, to cook for himself and for anyone else who sat down.

It wasn't long before he figured out that his marshmallow roasting stick was also good for keeping tiny moose away from the fire. It was kind of amazing how this place still found ways to weird him out, even after all this time.

"I dunno," Jennifer said. "Well, fun, yes. But not quite what I could keep up with."

She tilted her head at Jennifer. "What are you looking for?"

"Oh, I'm not really looking for anything," Jennifer said. "But if I was, I'd be looking for something more... relaxed. But serious."

"Wish you luck when you start looking then," Rose said easily. Serious. They were way, way too young for serious. "What brought you to Fandom?"

"My dad sent me here," Jennifer said. "I didn't have much say in the matter."

"My old school sent me here too," Rose agreed. "Better than I expected at least."

"I'm liking the school and island," Jennifer said. "It's definitely exceeding my expectation."

"What classes did you end up with?" she asked, leaning back against her log to munch on a marshmallow.

"SAT Prep, Criminal Justice, and... Arts and Crafts," Jennifer said. "The last one was just to have something a little lighter than the other two."
