There was an air of smugness about Dean as he settled on the couch in the common room with lots of snacks and the tv remote.

He wasn't planning on watching anything in particular, just to channel surf and eat junkfood. Sometimes that's all one needed to have a good night.

"That's what Sammy does," Dean pointed out. "He talks to people."

"I'm fine with him talking to me." He enjoyed it, actually. "It's the bitchfacing and accusations that's irritating. He told me that it's my fault these things happen because you're not in control of your 'carnal impulses'."

Yeah, there were air quotes with that.

Dean snorted. "Yeah, that sounds like Sammy."

Chuck rolled his eyes. "I'm glad you find it so amusing."

"What are you taking offense at-- being told you can control your carnal impulses?"

"The fact that he seems to think I can is just weird," Chuck said at first. "But I was more annoyed by the fact that I get the blame."

"Oh relax," Dean told him. "I'm sure I'll get the full bitchface treatment too. He still occasionally bitchfaces at me for Alec and that's been going on for three years now."

Chuck didn't like it when Sam was bitchfacey at him and was still pouting as he leaned back against the couch. "I would say it wasn't worth it but that'd be a flat out lie."

Dean chuckled. "Who knew all you needed was to get religion?"

Chuck smirked. "And I barely made a dent in the list of sins I could confess."

"That isn't actually something to be proud of," Dean reminded him.

"Why not? You should be proud of what you're good at," Chuck said.

Chuck shot Dean a sideways glance. "I seem to be guilty of a lot of those."

Dean shrugged. "Like you said, you're good at being bad." He gave Chuck a sideways glance of his own. "Question is are you just as good at repenting?"

Chuck tried to keep from smirking and failed. "Depends on what kind of repentance we're talking about."

"Well that all depends on how bad you've sinned," Dean told him. "And how much contrition you need to do."

"Well I've got a lot of pride," Chuck said. "That's a lot of sin."

"Probably looking at a long term concentrated repentance," Dean said. "With regular acts of contrition."

"I could be up for that," Chuck said. "I'm sure it's nothing I can't handle."

Chuck just smirked and shrugged innocently. "Might be."

Dean smirked challengingly. "Bring it, sinner."

"Gladly," Chuck said, barely resisting the urge to add 'Father' to the end of that. No need to get into that mindset too much considering they were in the common room and all. "I hope you know what you're getting into."
