Third Floor Common Room - Late Sunday Morning

Popcorn...probably wasn't an acceptable breakfast food but it was the one thing Chuck could make without catching on fire (and even then he came close sometimes) and he was Chuck Bass, he could eat whatever the hell he wanted to in the mornings. And he could also drink scotch too. So there.

Breakfast sitting by him on the couch, the only thing Chuck had to worry about was finding something decent on TV. This was proving to be harder than he anticipated. Stupid lame ass Sunday TV lineups. The only thing that was on was Golden Girls. Which he totally didn't like. Really.

"Glad to know I haven't scarred you too badly with my offhand reference to That Which Shall Not Be Mentioned," Valentine said. "If anything, you could always rely on those sweet, soothing, dulcet tones of the voice of the tall one there," she added, nodding to the TV.

"Uh, she's definitely more Hannibal's type, not mine," Chuck said. "I prefer women who haven't gone through menopause yet."

"So I'm still in the game," Valentine noted with an approving nod, followed almost seamlessly with the simple statement of, "I don't think I've met Hannibal. He's in my slacking class, though, so I guess it's appropriate that I'd slack on meeting him."

Chuck snickered. "He's a pretty nice guy. Good for a laugh. Both when he's trying to be funny and when he's attempting to be serious."

"Usually," Valentine noted, "people are funnier when they're trying to be serious."

"I couldn't agree with you more," Chuck said. "Which is why you should probably introduce yourself to Hannibal."
