Fourth Floor Common Room - [EARLY Monday Morning]

It wasn't often that Jon was awake before 7am these days. He'd managed to avoid that by making sure his classes weren't first hour and it being summer. Of course, from the looks of things, it's highly possible (and is a fact) that he didn't go to bed the night before.

meta for, if there is meta for it World of Warcraft eats your soul. So does Second Life.

On the plus side, at some point he had gone out and bought boxes of donuts and there was coffee going for those who wanted it.

Angela was only up at this crazy sort of hour because she had a first period class, and while she was dressed and sort of ready for it, she was still only partially awake when she wandered down to the common room for breakfast.

Awake enough for a "Morning," of greeting, but not much else.

"Ooh, coffee." Key word, right there, and Angela made a beeline to fill a mug before wandering over to flop on the other end of the couch. It was only after a few sips from that mug she actually said anything else.

"Been up for a while?" she guessed.

[identity profile] flashesforinfo.livejournal.com 2009-06-01 02:05 pm (UTC)(link)
"That's very..." She wasn't really sure what that was. "Busy night?"

Angela knew very little about the killing of overlords, to be honest.

She had to peer around at his screen at that, nosy as it was. Curiosity.

"What is that?"

[identity profile] flashesforinfo.livejournal.com 2009-06-01 02:35 pm (UTC)(link)
"... Weird." You don't say. "No offence."

"Must be good if you were up all night," she ventured. If she was going to be up all night, it was not going to be for a computer game, it had to be said.

"I'll keep my fingers crossed for the second option," Angela told him, grinning back as she sipped at her coffee.

That was the fun option of the two.

[identity profile] flashesforinfo.livejournal.com 2009-06-01 03:05 pm (UTC)(link)
"Why wouldn't I?" she asked. Totally not weird to her. She was just that sort of a girl, not really knowing who he was made no difference to her.

[identity profile] flashesforinfo.livejournal.com 2009-06-01 03:41 pm (UTC)(link)
She shrugged. Yeah, not something that would stop her in the slightest.

"Hi, I'm Angela." There, less of a stranger now.

[identity profile] flashesforinfo.livejournal.com 2009-06-01 07:14 pm (UTC)(link)
"Not a newbie," Angela confirmed, grinning. "I've been here about a year. You are, I guess?"

[identity profile] flashesforinfo.livejournal.com 2009-06-01 11:34 pm (UTC)(link)
"Takes a couple of weeks," she said with a smile. "But you're getting there. It took a good few before I wasn't freaking out over the least little thing."

[identity profile] flashesforinfo.livejournal.com 2009-06-01 11:47 pm (UTC)(link)
"Well, it starts to lose it's impact when everyone's doing it," Angela said, leaning back in the couch with a smile. "And it's a lot of energy for not a lot of gain."

[identity profile] flashesforinfo.livejournal.com 2009-06-02 12:04 am (UTC)(link)
"Exactly," she said, and sipped at her coffee. "I mean it's all very well for the first, like, couple of weeks? But then... there's glitter rain, and mutant alligators, and you can't really freak out about the little time differences or whatever else."

[identity profile] flashesforinfo.livejournal.com 2009-06-02 12:11 am (UTC)(link)
"Mine were adorable," Angela said cheerfully. No nightmares here. Not that she intended on having them any time soon.

... Or at all, in the case of Chuck's kid, cute as he was in an evil sort of way.

"Tiring, but adorable."

[identity profile] flashesforinfo.livejournal.com 2009-06-02 12:29 am (UTC)(link)
Angela bit her lip a little at that. "Weirdest or... There's crazy, and there's bad. Zombies were-- they were bad." Understatement.

"Turning into a guy or a five year old, also weird but... nicer." A lot nicer.

[identity profile] flashesforinfo.livejournal.com 2009-06-02 01:42 am (UTC)(link)
"Usually isn't," Angela agreed with a laugh. "I think the word my dad used was 'quirky', which doesn't even start to cover it."

[identity profile] flashesforinfo.livejournal.com 2009-06-02 01:52 am (UTC)(link)
"He's better off not knowing," Angela decided, shaking her head. "I think he might freak and pull me out of school."

Innocent talking frogs were one thing, zombies and killer aliigators, quite another.

Leda randomly shot Angela the peace sign as a greeting.

[identity profile] flashesforinfo.livejournal.com 2009-06-02 12:21 am (UTC)(link)
Well, that was unusual as greetings went...

Angela wasn't going to complain, though, and raised her free hand in a return wave with a bit of a grin.

[identity profile] flashesforinfo.livejournal.com 2009-06-02 01:43 am (UTC)(link)
"Angela," she said in return. "Good morning."

[identity profile] anarchist-queen.livejournal.com 2009-06-02 01:54 am (UTC)(link)
"Morning. You one of the new ones?"

[identity profile] flashesforinfo.livejournal.com 2009-06-02 01:55 am (UTC)(link)
"Not me," she replied easily, sipping at her coffee. "I'm one of those old and jaded ones." Not really. Her grin might say otherwise.

[identity profile] anarchist-queen.livejournal.com 2009-06-02 02:19 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh yeah? So you've seen it all then?"

[identity profile] flashesforinfo.livejournal.com 2009-06-02 02:23 am (UTC)(link)
"All? No," Angela laughed. "Definitely not. But I've... seen a fair amount. It doesn't get much weirder than right here."

[identity profile] anarchist-queen.livejournal.com 2009-06-02 02:28 am (UTC)(link)
Leda looked like she really wanted to argue that. But in the end...

"Yeah I guess you're right. I used to think that Bordertown was the most unusual place in the world. I was wrong."

[identity profile] anarchist-queen.livejournal.com 2009-06-02 12:18 am (UTC)(link)
Leda was somewhat hungover this morning as she wandered down to the fourth floor to see what was up.

"Morning starshine."

[identity profile] anarchist-queen.livejournal.com 2009-06-02 01:40 am (UTC)(link)
"Fantastic, thanks handsome."

[identity profile] anarchist-queen.livejournal.com 2009-06-02 01:55 am (UTC)(link)
"I think so. Nothing's surprised me in awhile. Not even the alligators."

[identity profile] anarchist-queen.livejournal.com 2009-06-02 10:37 pm (UTC)(link)
"I didn't stop to see their droppings."
