It was a brand new month and, while he was still feeling slightly under the weather, Fraser was feeling better than he had all last week. A weekend of rest was very helpful.

"Good morning," he said once the crew had assembled. "We've completed the ripping out of the carpeting. Thank you for all your help. Now, of course, we're going to prep for both the new tile and carpeting to be laid. That requires the floor underneath to be cleaned and the carpeting and tile to be hauled from the ground floor to the sixth floor. Be careful, work in pairs, and work at your own pace. Once the floor is prepped and the materials are here, we'll begin laying the new floor."

Fraser gave them all a nod and gestured for them to get to work.

He was there, hard hat on and scraper in his hand.

Ronon decided he could use a break from cleaning and schlepping. Talking to the Mountie would work good enough. "Think they'll have the plans nailed down by Wednesday?"

"I believe so," Fraser said, nodding. "They've had enough time since the floor started to come up, after all."

Ronon looked less than impressed. "Good. Only so much more flirting teens I can take." Oh yes, he'd noticed all these lunchtime visitors.

"At least it's during lunch and not while they're working?" Fraser pointed out.

"Except for how it ruins lunch," Ronon complained. Okay, maybe his real issue was that he wasn't getting to flirt during lunch.

"You seem to be paying quite the bit of attention to the flirting," he said and snickered.

Fraser was probably too old to flirt. "What else is there to listen to? Sound of chewing?"

"You could always go elsewhere to eat if you'd prefer," he pointed out.

Ronon stared. "You wait four weeks to mention that?"

"I thought you knew!" Fraser protested.

"How would I know?" Stupid kids were always sticking around.

"You could have asked," he said. "I would have answered honestly."

Ronon had failed to think of it as an option. "Great. I'm gonna remember for Wednesday."

Which would likely do him well.

"Or you could always bring someone to flirt with," he teased lightly.

An idea. Admittedly, a very bad one, but it was an idea. "Sure, I'll get right on that."

"Perhaps you could teach the students a thing or two," he joked. "About flirting."

"You say that like you think I couldn't." He couldn't. He might hit someone over the head with a club.

Oh yeah, this job was the life. Someone remind Ronon why he wasn't teaching gym again?
