Third Floor Common Room - Monday after classes - 06/01

It had been far too long since Liir had been in a kitchen, and by that we mean he'd been out of one for more than a day. After the somewhat startling experience Sunday, well, he was quite prepared to settle into a bit of normality and get himself covered in flour. Makejoy stayed out of the kitchen as she'd been trained, flopped at the edge of the carpet to watch her very silly daddy work.

Nonetheless, as silly as he was, he'd decided to make something that smelled rather delicious, so if someone else happened to wander by, well, Liir certainly wouldn't blame them for grabbing a few off the plate whether they stayed or not.

Next, of course, there was soup to get to, but all in good time...

How fun for Amber, she thought. Not at all bitterly.

"Otherwise, how have you been? Like you said, its been sometime since we've spoken."

Mm, yes.

"Planning what?" she asked, leaning back against the counter. "I've kept busy, I suppose, and planning my trip home after this semester."

Her brow furrowed gently. "I'm sorry for you, Liir. Will you be going home again anytime soon?"

It was her turn to cast her gaze away.

"My family." Quiet. Simple. Evasive.

Penelope offered him a faint smile. She didn't want to have to lie to him and was grateful she didn't feel the need to expand.

She sipped her milk.

"I still find it fascinating that so many of us come from so many different places. Amazing places. The stuff storybooks are made of."

She giggled, quietly.

"Not exactly, but I've read many."

And it wasn't a consideration that her own fabulous life could be written among pages. Her nose, her ears; she was just a freak.

Ah, but freaks lived in storybooks too, didn't they?

"I wouldn't know anything about that," she replied, her cheeks warming. "About you, of course. I suppose I am learning something of it, from Seduction."

She grinned.

"You have a reason to be romantic, even if you say you aren't. I'm certain Amber might disagree?"
