The Gym - Wednesday Afternoon

Rose hadn't been laying off training exactly, but getting to shoot in Criminal Justice today made her realise that she hadn't been working quuuuite as hard as she had been a few weeks ago.

Which was why she headed down to the gym after lunch, dropped her bag against the wall and started to work over the heavy bag over, punching and kicking slower at first and then faster and faster until she was working full out.

"I don't learn everything from movies," he said. He had some playground training too. Kids in public schools fought dirty.

"Yeah, but it'd be awesome if you learned drunken boxing from them," she pointed out.

"I only drunkenly box when I am, in fact, drunk," he told her smartly.

"You get violent when you drink then?" Rose teased.

"Depends on the drink, my mood and whose around at the time," he answered

Rose snorted. "Fair enough." She tilted her head at him. "We going to try this again, or is that enough?"

"If you're good to stop, so am I," he said, nodding. He'd feel that a little tomorrow but he thought he'd done good for no real formal training.

She grinned, reaching back to tighten her ponytail. "It was fun," Rose said, more than confident she could take him if she needed - or wanted - to.

She'd be in a for a fight if she tried. He fought dirty when he was really fighting.

"Thought so too," he said and smiled. "And a nice way to end the day."

Which was fair enough cause so did she. Also not so much with the holding back.

Rose grinned and offered her hand. "Thanks."

He shook her hand and said, "Welcome. Glad to be of service."

Rose made a face at him, but she was laughing. "Not even going to say how that sounded."

"Dirty mind," he said and shook his head. "Dirty, dirty mind!"

She shrugged, totally unashamed. "You're the one who said it..."

"I said it, you twisted it into something dirty," he reminded her.

"you're the teenage boy," she teased. "It's obviously your fault."

"Way to generalize," Hannibal said, shaking his head. "I expected more."

"What did you expect?" Rose asked curiously.

"For you to take the blame and be proud of your dirty mind," he answered.

Rose laughed. "Fair enough. I won't argue with that."

"Good," he said and nodded. "Dirty minds are much more fun than clean minds."

"Aww, is that a compliment?" she asked.

"If you want it to be," he said and smiled. "It's a compliment."

"Thank you, Hannie," Rose said sweetly. "As they say, it takes one to know one."

She didn't know who they were, no.

"I don't know who Hannie is but I'll accept the thanks in his honor," he decided.
