Jon was hanging out in the common room today. Some video channel was playing on the television, but he wasn't really watching it. Nope, he was organizing photos on his computer. Photos taken at the fashion show.

Maybe he would consider becoming a photographer.

Sorry, no free food from him today.

"That's beautiful," Karla sighed, leaning closer to the screen. "One day, I hope I can visit the stars." Her voice sounded almost reverent.

She was definitely buying Jon that camera. Just so he could take pictures of the night sky for her.

"They're pretty cool, but this is just a shot taken with telescope and a camera like the Rebel. If you get a chance later, look up the Orion on google, some of the shots from NASA and that are beyond cool."

"NASA?" Karla asked. "What kind of machine is that?"

He laughed and shook his head. "NASA stands for National Aeronautics and Space Administration. They're one of the organizations in my world that handles space exploration."

"Oh," Karla said, smiling a bit. "Are they very important then? Is that how you got to space?"

"They're important and no. How I got to space is very complicated and involves a lucky find and probably would make those guys at NASA turn several shades of green with envy if they knew."

"You'll have to tell me about it sometime," Karla said. "Because now you've piqued my interest."

"Some time when we're trapped and have several hours to waste," he joked.

"Great, O'Neil. You do know that you've just doomed us into having that happen, right?" Karls sighed, rolling her eyes. "Fandom is ruled by something intelligent with a twisted sense of humor. I just know it."

"Hah, been doomed for worse," Jon told her. "Jack once ended up trapped on another planet for three months with a very nice woman."

Karla raised a brow. "Oh really?" she asked. "Are those memories you're allowed to talk about in polite company?"

Not that Karla considered herself such.

He laughed and shook his head. "I'm not telling what happened. That's Jack's business."

"I repect the refusal to not-kiss and not-tell," Karla said, dimpling. "Though I'm still blaming you the second we get stranded together somewhere. And don't forget, you'll have to do all the cooking."

"Got it, Boss." Because he liked to eat edible food. "I doubt it will happen though."
