third floor common room | morning | wednesday | july 1
Alex wasn't sure when Griff would be coming back from his trip so, since he had some sense of self preservation, he decided to make himself scarce. That included going one floor up and settling in a completely different common room then his own floor's. Griff could just make his discoveries on his own time. For now, Alex was sprawled on one of the couches, not quite hungover but not bright eyed and bushy tailed.
Of course, he wasn't ever really in that sort of mood. He was drinking (coffee) and eating (toast) and listening to some early morning news show that made no sense but it was noise and it kept him from falling asleep.
Despite it being morning, it was a vacation so Alex figured being up and lazy was allowed.
[open common room, of course. *goofs off at work*]

There was also the thing where she considered Alex not half bad company. But instead of saying that, she ate another handful of cereal.

... And Effy didn't have any to hand out, anyway.
"Or deal with over-processed cereal." Which she finally offered. Took her long enough.

His was still hot and half full and in a clean mug and...black. But, he offered. That was the thing here.

"Cooties, you know? Can't be too careful." Because she hadn't done things with him far more likely to involve the passing of cooties, or anything.

"Could've just said, 'I want some'."

She had fun buttons to press if only because she pressed back most of the time.

He was quicksilver with those moods, yes.

The whole cootie conversation was both amusing and astoundingly immature. Still, more amusing than anything.

"Sharing the same couch doesn't count, right?"

Hardly a germphobe, given the way she had been known to live when looking after her mum and Tony.

And he stretched out a little more. Purposefully, of course.
