Third Floor Common Room [Thursday Afternoon]

The last few days had been busy and Claire took advantage of being on break to sleep in.

But once she was awake, she was restless and she decided to go to the common room and bake some cookies.

Rather than bother with trashy daytime TV, she cranked up the radio and danced around the kitchenette.

[ooooooooooopen! last day of work before my three day weekend so entertain me pleeeease!]

Someone had raided Triela's stash of decent tea on the fourth floor, so she found herself on the third hoping that they had some there. When she spotted Claire she grinned and shook her head.

"Looks like you're having a good day," she remarked off-handedly as she started rummaging through the cupboards.

"I did," Triela nodded. "It was interesting, and I didn't have any weird reactions to the Spice."

"No, but thanks." Triela flashed a quick grin. "Cookies are a bit sweet for my taste."

"In small amounts they're okay," Triela allowed. "I mean, I do like things that are sweet. Just not too sweet." Which was... most desserts.

"I suppose," Triela allowed. Which was an improvement over just a year ago when the thought of all those strangers would have set her teeth on edge. "Maybe some more people will show up who are interested in gun club."

Liir made his way out to the common room, mostly because the room felt far too empty at the moment, even with Makejoy. He'd gotten used to the presence of another person and without her, well...

Hence the broomboy and the large lump of dark fur covering his lap.

"Looks good," he commented with a short smile in between songs.

That drew a quick grin. "Good."

"So what else have you been up to lately, anyway?" she asked as she finally found some decent tea and made a quiet 'aha!' noise.

He bowed his head to the obviously delicious efforts before patting his dog.

"I would, they smell lovely, but then I'd have to move her."

And she was doing her best to look adorable and loving.

"How did that go?" Triela asked. She was more interested in Claire's take on the Thoppter tour than the rock climbing.

"I wouldn't want to distract you, but if you should happen to wander this way, it would be appreciated," he said, patting the dog.

"What are you listening to, by the way? It's... interesting."

Good interesting, but he wasn't much for music.

"I didn't realize he had flight experience," Triela mused. Which wasn't surprising since she didn't really know him.

Triela nodded. "I suppose that shouldn't be too surprising. So many people show up here with weird talents, after all."

He took the cookies with a grateful nod and Makejoy turned her head to lick at Claire's hand with a happy doggy grin.

"An 'eighties retrospective'," he said, the way you do when you have no idea what something is. Liir had been brought up to speed about many things when it came to this world but music had always fallen behind. The only one to ever mention it had been Andrew and his music hadn't really been mainstream.
