Wormhole X-Treme campfire [morning]

After a mostly incoherent phone call from his grandfather early this morning--something about coffee pots that made very little sense--Ben had been sent down to the flight shed to check on something that Anakin had had a bad feeling about.

Which was why he was now sitting in front of the banked campfire, staring at a young man in a flight suit.

"This is weird, even for Fandom," he said.

"Tell me about it," the flight simulator replied.

Yakko ran near the campfire and suddenly stopped.

"It's that time again!" After a brief pause, he continued, as if addressing someone who wasn't there. "No, it's time to learn the day's lesson! And to find out what it is, we turn to..." Yakko motioned towards a cabin, and... a hot nun sauntered over from behind the cabin.

"The Wheel of Morality," the Wheel of Morality said.

"Helloooooooooooooooo nurse!" Yakko called out.

The Wheel of Morality was a little concerned by this reaction and started to run off, dropping a sheet of paper with the number 4 on it. "Wheel of Morality, stay here!" Before giving chase, Yakko picked up the paper. "Moral Number Four. And the moral of today's story is... Armadillos have been consistently expanding their range over the last century due to a lack of natural predators and have been found as far north as Illinois and Indiana."

Yakko shrugged, dashed after the Wheel of Morality, and called out, "Wait for me! We can take a trip to Tahiti!"

Ben and the flight simulator stared after them.

"Okay, I'm revising my definition of weird," Ben declared.

Tahiri was being trailed, slowly, by a sleepy-looking girl with dreadlocks.

"You know, you still haven't given me a name," the girl said.

"I know," Tahiri replied, halfheartedly like she'd said it three dozen times this morning already. She dropped down next to Ben at the campfire, noticed the guy in the flight suit, and sighed. "You too?"

[[Only just thought of this. Had to.]]

"Babysitting for Granddad," Ben said, rolling his eyes. "This is the flight simulator."

Tahiri looked at the girl following her, who was only just now ambling up to the campfire. "Okay, and I thought you were weird."

The girl made a very banthalike snort and just looked at her.

Ben stared. "Is that your stuffed bantha?" he asked, trying not to snicker.

[weetuskenraider]

"What's so funny about that?" demanded the girl. "I'd introduce myself to you, but I still don't have a name."

Tahiri sighed. "That would be a yes."

"What would you like your name to be?" Ben asked.

"Heeeeeey," the flight simulator added smoothly.

[weetuskenraider]

"Not Bob." She gave Ben a pointed look and rolled her eyes at the flight simulator. "Though I probably shouldn't be too hard on you, since you did bring me here. Thanks for that, by the way."

Tahiri eyed the flight sim. "You know, this is weird enough without you doing that."

[momslilassassin]

"I didn't know you were a girl," Ben protested.

"I would have noticed," the flight simulator leered.

[weetuskenraider]

"Oh, please. You're not my type," the stuffed bantha informed the flight simulator.

Tahiri stared at Ben. "Um."

[momslilassassin]

"Um," Ben repeated, looking a little weirded out.

"...what is your type?"

Oh, Ben. Don't ask that.

[weetuskenraider]

Tahiri tried to elbow him. "Do you have to do that?"

The bantha snorted again. "Not you, either," she told Ben.

Tahiri groaned.

"That's good," Ben said, "because when this wears off," oh, please let this wear off, "you're still going to be a stuffed animal."

[weetuskenraider]

This better wear off. And the flight sim had better not hit on Tahiri, either, or she was going to be in serious trouble.

"You'd be sleeping outside if you made a move on him," she informed the bantha. "Don't think I wouldn't make you."

"Like you've been in the cabin much?"

"Oh, shut up."

"Yes, please be quiet," Ben added, giving the bantha (what the hell, what the hell, what the hell) a look.

The flight simulator? Totally trying to check Tahiri out. Ben reached out and smacked him in the back of the head. "Stop it."

"You spend more time cuddling him than me these days," the bantha grumbled with a dirty look at Ben.

Tahiri was busy giving the flight simulator a dirty look. "Don't even think about it."

"I will lock you in the flight shed," Ben told him, eyes hard, "and you can deal with my grandfather if you make a mess."

The flight sim gave a little shudder. "Fine."

Tahiri gave Ben a pleading look as the bantha snickered. "Can we pretend that didn't just happen?"

[momslilassassin]

"I remember nothing," he said, reaching out to smack the flight simulator again when it opened its mouth.

"If you dent me, there'll be hell to pay," the sim replied sulkily.

Tahiri was wondering if the flight sim was related to the Skywalkers now, because it certainly sulked like one.

"I'm never going to be able to look at that sim the same way again," she groaned. The bantha was poking around the area experimentally for something to eat.

"Because I'm so good looking?" the sim said hopefully, having learned absolutely nothing.

[weetuskenraider]

Tahiri glared at the sim. "I'd like to keep our relationship strictly professional, thanks."

[momslilassassin]

"But you've already been in--"

Ben grabbed the sim's arm and twisted. Hard. "You finish that sentence and I guarantee you'll be in pieces," he said, glaring.

The bantha was very placidly ignoring them all now in favor of nibbling on someone's left behind pretzel sticks, but occasionally rolling her eyes at the sim.

"Not to mention I'll kick you where it'll really hurt," Tahiri told the sim. "In case you thought this being human thing was all good."
