Wormhole X-Treme campfire [morning]

After a mostly incoherent phone call from his grandfather early this morning--something about coffee pots that made very little sense--Ben had been sent down to the flight shed to check on something that Anakin had had a bad feeling about.

Which was why he was now sitting in front of the banked campfire, staring at a young man in a flight suit.

"This is weird, even for Fandom," he said.

"Tell me about it," the flight simulator replied.

He leaned his head back against the log. "What would the sign say?" he asked.

"Keep Out seems a little harsh." Tahiri scooted over next to him again. "Maybe just our initials?"

"I like the initials," he offered.

[weetuskenraider]

"Yeah?" Tahiri's grin got a little broader after a moment's hesitation. "Guess I've got a new project then."

[momslilassassin]

"Good," Ben said. "Projects are fun." He smiled. "Just don't get too attached to it. Having a sign running around would be very odd."

Tahiri stuck her tongue out at him. "Now who's the dork?"

[momslilassassin]

"Never claimed otherwise," he replied.

[weetuskenraider]

"At least you're up front about it," she decided. "I like you that way anyway."

[momslilassassin]

"That's why I do it," he said. "So you'll continue to like me."

[weetuskenraider]

"You don't have to try." She nudged at him with her shoulder. "I keep telling you this."

[momslilassassin]

"In that case, I'll just stay on the beach and eat ice cream until I explode," he teased.

"Absolutely not. No exploding for you," Tahiri said a little too quickly.

Ben reached for her hand. "Metaphorical exploding," he soothed.

[weetuskenraider]

"I knew that," Tahiri said, embarrassed and squeezing his hand. "Sorry."

[momslilassassin]

"My fault," he insisted. "Explosions aren't a good topic right now."

[weetuskenraider]

"I will poke you if you start blaming yourself for that," Tahiri told him.

[momslilassassin]

"I don't need to be poked," Ben assured her with a smile.

[weetuskenraider]

"Fine." Tahiri leaned over until her nose was millimeters from his. "So don't blame yourself for it. Problem solved, see?"

"I see," he said, then tried to steal a kiss.

[weetuskenraider]

"Good," Tahiri said with a touch of smugness before she kissed him. She thought she'd won that argument pretty nicely.
