Main Campfire, Saturday Evening

Kate had spent the past few days mostly on her own. She had hung out in her alcove, listening to music, reading magazines and books and comics, and just generally enjoying some quiet time by herself.

But now she felt like it was time to socialize again, which was why she was at the main campfire. She hadn't brought any snacks with her, hoping someone else might bring something.

She was just sitting there, looking at the fire.

"Yes please," she nodded, and grinned. "You can pretty much count on me accepting all snack- or sweet-related offers."

"Oh, me too," Angela assured her, offering the packet over. "Not much of a chef, so I stick to the easy things." Like marshmallows, and take out. And she likes to pretend she's healthy.

Kate took a few marsmallows before handing the bag back to Angela. "Me too, especially now that I'm here. And at home I had my brother make me stuff most of the time , because he has mad skills in the kitchen."

"I was always more the 'order chinese' sort of girl," she admitted. "But I'm actually getting better with that." Because getting food ordered to the dorms was hassle when the common rooms were right there.

"I think I'm gonna have to, too," Kate said. "Would probably be cheaper."

"And I hear, healthier," Angela added. "I had a whole workshop on that last semester."

"Wow, a workshop that actually makes sense?" Kate laughed a bit. "...Okay, I'm not actually even taking any of the weirder ones. And I think they're offering the healthy eating thing now, too."

"It's the same one," she said, nodding. "It was kind of fun, really, and you get free food."

"The sane ones are out there. I managed to get a few last time around."

"The ones I'm taking are pretty sane. The film class seems to be really cool, and apparently the only glitch in Creative Writing is that the teacher thinks we all know his work, and none of us has actually heard of him."
