The Valley Campfire: Monday Afternoon

Anyone coming across the campfire today would find Layla sprawled out on a blanket as she traced a convuluted route on a map of the Northeastern part of the United States. She was lying on her stomach with her feet up in the air as she munched on a snack of raisins and goldfish crackers

And while a fire wasn't lit in the firepit, there was a cooler of drinks and some goodies from J'GOB sitting on top of them for visitors to enjoy.

"But that'd be a lie!" Hannibal exclaimed. "I didn't jinx us."

"If anything, we can share blame," he compromised. "Deal?"

"Deal," she said, offering her hand, and smirking.

"Now we'll just have to wait and see whether the mini-rhinos and angry mobs appear."

"If it does, I'll be barricading myself in my dorm room," Hannibal decided.

After a thought, she added, "Mine, though, not yours. I don't think Angela would appreciate it."

"I think, as long as she was in there too and there wasn't anything sketchy going on, she'd be okay with you hunkering down in my room," he said. "She's easygoing."

"She does seem fabulously friendly," Kate agreed, based on the little she had been around Angela.

"Although why she'd want to associate herself so strongly with 'the duo that brought rhino doom upon us' is anyone's guess."

"Well, she loves me," he said and grinned, "so maybe I can use that and put a good word in with you."
