Wendy the Werewolf Stalker Campfire [Wednesday Evening]

It was beautiful outside this evening, and so Emma found herself out by her cabin's campfire; cigarette in one hand as she balanced her notebook on her knees. It was easier to work on her creative writing assignment out here than in the cramped quarters of the cabin, and if she didn't like what she wrote, well, she could always burn it.

And really, there was no downside to lighting things on fire.

Jack tried to look innocent. "Why would I make something like that up?"

He'd known her all of three minutes, of course.

"You could be trying to pull one over on the new girl," Jean pointed out.

"I could, but this place is so odd I'd hardly bother," Jack said. "Witness the singing last week. I couldn't make that up."

"You underestimate how creative people at this school can be," Jack said lightly. "Though I have to say, everything people have told me has been true."

"Even the gremlins?" She held out hope!

Jack bit a thumbnail. "I've never actually seen one?" he tried. "They ... could be a myth."

"I really hope so," Jean admitted. "Suddenly not acting like yourself? Weird."
