Wendy the Werewolf Stalker Campfire [Wednesday Evening]

It was beautiful outside this evening, and so Emma found herself out by her cabin's campfire; cigarette in one hand as she balanced her notebook on her knees. It was easier to work on her creative writing assignment out here than in the cramped quarters of the cabin, and if she didn't like what she wrote, well, she could always burn it.

And really, there was no downside to lighting things on fire.

"The libations pour freely, along with their eager expressions of close camaraderie, for what could one do without the other? Even after the field, they're raucous and insatiable for recognition of their formidable psychical feats."

"I'm going to give you co-author credit on this, you know," Emma pointed out as she scribbled it down frantically. Yes, she really was going to turn this in, just to see what happened.

"It's a sustained celebration, and the rowdy antics draw in some of the fans that had not yet left, as well as members of the other team." Totally dirty.

Valentine chuckled. "Well, I appreciate the credit, then, especially since I'm offering help merely as a dedicated TA."

Then she shook her head a little to focus back on the next line, biting her lip in concentration.

"At...first, it seemed wrong of them to intrude on the deep connections being made by the team, but they were not spent from the thrill of others quite yet. Eagerly, they ushered them to join them, to fill in whatever holes they may find." Pause. "In the crowd."

"They had all caught a second wind, and the revels became wilder, the participants continuing longer and harder in their joy until the sun parted the horizon," Emma laughed. "Oh God, I'm either going to fail, or he's going to think it's the most inspirational piece of sports literature in this century."

"If it's anything but the latter," Valentine laughed, "I am going to seriously doubt his literary credentials. It's pure brilliancy."

"Do people even need credentials to teach here?" Emma asked. "Seriously, I'm rather sure the inmates are running the asylum."
