Rumor Gal Campfire; Thursday Evening

While he was getting pretty damn tired of the whole cabin thing, Chuck would have been stupid not to take advantage of an already lit fire and the new bag of marshmallows he found in the kitchen. He wasn't quite sure who kept buying the marshmallows but Zefron bless them.

Joint in his left hand, Chuck tried his hand at trying to flick marshmallows in the air with his right and catching them in his mouth. Turns out he had a talent for it.

"Be sure to share that with Chuck. He always thinks he's impressive." There was a certain amount of mental eyerolling going on at the marshmallow king. "You're Sookie, aren't you? Did I say that right? We had that terribly embarrassing class together that we should never speak of again." Oh, Sex Ed, you were so fun.

"Good work on remembering my name!" Sookie congratulated, surprised. "And...yeah, we had the -- the class that you said. That's the perfect description. And you're...Ed...ward?" she tried, looking embarrassed and fairly sure that was wrong. "Sorry, I'm real bad with names."

"Edmund," he replied, not seeming bothered in the slightest. "But don't worry, I was doing my best impression of a garden gnome in that class. Seen and not heard," he explained. "It worked pretty well if I do say so."

"Pretty much my strategy, too. Some people enjoyed that class a tad too much sometimes," Sookie said, making a face. Blocking out the thoughts of Sex Ed had been less than fun.

"I wasn't one of them," he assured her. "It was enlightening, but not exactly subject matter I'd care to learn more of in public." Especially in a mixed setting, he added silently. "Are you taking less embarrassing classes now?"

"Tactics and Healthy Living," she said with a nod. "Much less embarrassing, much quieter classes, and really, a lot more useful."

And oh, that had not sounded right. Strangers didn't need confirmation of her virginity.

Edmund ducked his head to smother anything that might not have been a very neutral expression. "Agreed with mine," he added, only realising after he said it that he'd just confessed himself as well. "Though," he added quickly, "Loki's working on keeping up the embarrassment level in Life's Little Quirks the best he can."
