Behind the Dorms, Tuesday Afternoon

Leto had actually made some plans for this meeting, in case Arthur and Zack would still be asleep, although if they had been, there would certainly have been a lot fewer people showing up.

Those plans were now pointless, however. There was no way he would put people through defining the goals of defensive tactics today. Clearly those who had spend their weekend in another reality were a little too emotional to deal with that now. Leto knew that from experience; he had spent the previous day being bitched at (hello Arthur!) or hugged and cried on. It was obvious that people needed some kind of emotional outlet today.

Also, it seemed like some people had trust issues after having run into alternate vampire versions of themselves. That could prove dangerous in a fighting situation.

"Good afternoon," he greeted everyone gathered. "Today we will work on what I believe is referred to in this time as team-building. Without loyalty and trust - both of leaders and of fellow warriors - a military unit is nothing. Where that trust is strong and army may rise about their actual level of fighting skill."

"Often this loyalty has been nurtured by shared pain and suffering. A guerilla group might have faced persecution together for a long time. Many forms of military training forces the warriors to endure severe hardships together in order to achieve something similar."

Leto smiled. "Today, I decided for a more playful and gentle approach. We will start with a shared meal. Eating together is a sign of friendship in many cultures. First, you need to divide the food." He gestured at a blanket on the ground with a large fruit bowl in the middle. "It needs to be divided equally, but for every fruit you take, you need to tell the group something significant about yourself."

"When the food has been divided, you may eat, but you may not feed yourself, only other people."

He watched the people gathered. "Any questions?"

So, Turtle had an apple. An apple was probably best shared in slices, so she looked around a little before asking, "Anyone have a knife?"

"Here." Leto offered Turtle one of his, holding the handle towards her. "That hairstyle suits you."

Turtle looked at Leto for a second before taking the proffered knife, nodding, and setting to slicing up some of the apple carefully. "Thank you," she said. "I've heard that a lot about it. I'm fairly fond of it myself; it's professional and modern with a little bit of an edge, I think."

One slice cut, she quirked both head and eyebrow as she offered it out to Leto. "Apple?"

Leto started to peel the orange he had picked and divided it into segments, which would be easy enough to feed someone.

Elena had a lime, one that also fell neatly into parts.

"Shall we trade?" she asked, offering him a slice.

"Certainly." He accepted the lime, feeling the sour taste fill his mouth, and then offered her an orange segment.

"I don't think we've met," he added with a smile. "I'm Leto Atreides."

Unaware that there was anything wrong with feeding grapes to other people, Karla had grabbed a bunch and started offering them to people.

Leto, who would have told some people that they were sex obsessed if they mentioned feeding grapes to people was dirty, didn't mind eating one, and he offered an orange segment in return.

Karla smiled at him, opening her mouth to accept the orange. "Mmm....good." They didn't get many citrus fruits in Glacia.

"You're a good friend, Leto Atreides. No one and no other you can convince me differently."

"Grapes for a lime?" Elena offered, holding out a slice. "I'm a sucker for fresh fruit."

"Fair," Karla said happily. "I'm a sucker for citrus." She held out a grape for Elena to have. "This is a good first meeting to drop in on," she said. "I rarely say no to free food."

It wasn't that hard to guess what Triela was thinking, but she was here, in what looked like an attempt at participating, so Leto held out an orange segment towards her lips.

Triela eyed said orange slice like it was a poisonous snake. And she eyed Leto like he was... well, a guy holding a poisonous snake.

And she worked really, really hard to ignore the fact that a part of her wanted to lean forward and nip the fruit out from between his fingers.

Karla held out a grape. "The rules of this exercise forbid pranking," Karla informed Triela with a grin. "So it's safe."

She did not go for the grape. Someone might be paranoid.

Fiona made sure to cut her pear so that the icky part wasn't on a slice for anyone else.

Leto gave her a look, raising an eyebrow. He would let her feed him that if she wanted.

Zack and his handful of strawberries were both there, looking for someone in need of some fruit to munch on.

"Does anyone here like berries?"

He'd made sure to pick some really nice ripe ones, even!

"Oh, those look fresh," Elena sighed, happily. "May I?"

She'd wanted to talk to Zack anyway, and Edge did not have much by way of fresh fruit at the moment. (Midgar had been worse, to say the least.)

Griff had...some sort of green fruit. It looked alright and he looked around for someone to offer it to.
