The Gym [Thursday Morning]

Thursdays meant Claire had no classes and no work. She got up and decided to forego her daily run in favor of heading down to the gym to do some work with the punching bag.

She did some stretches to warm up and then started practicing the various attacks that Lady Ghanima had been teaching in Fight Club. After that, she planned to go over the moves Leto had been handwavily teaching her.

"Nope, just practicing," she assured him with a grin. "Did you want to use the bag?"

Hurley let out a laugh. "I'm not exactly a punching bag kind of guy."

Claire shrugged. "So what's up? How's your week been?"

"Pretty awesome," he said, smiling.

"Oh? Why's that?"

Yes, she was being nosy.

"Kinda have a date," Hurley said, bouncing the basketball a little.

"Oh, yay!" Claire said. "Who with?"

"Penelope," Hurley said. "She asked me out last night."

"Oh, good," Claire said with a smile. "I'm happy for you."

"Yeah," Hurley said. "I'm really looking forward to it."

"Where are you guys going?" she asked.

"Not sure, yet," Hurley said. "We said dinner, so... a restaurant, I guess."

Claire nodded. "There are some nice ones down on the boardwalk."

"Any hot dates for you?" Hurley joked.

"Jon brought me cake the other day," she said, giggling a little. "I don't think he'd like it if I was going out on hot dates with other guys."

"Jon?" Hurley said. "I didn't know you two were a thing. Cool."

Claire nodded. "Yeah, we have been for a little while."

"I'll have to poke him about it, next Survival class," Hurley said.

"I didn't know you guys had a class together," Claire said. "Of course, the only one of his classes I really know anything about is the insane one he has on Mondays with Deadpool."

"...I would not want a class with that guy," Hurley said. "He scares me."

"Yeah, he's... special," Claire agreed.

"So, training to be one of those MMA girls?" Hurley joked.

Claire wasn't entirely sure what an MMA girl was, but she knew she wasn't training to be one. "No, just working on some of the stuff I've been learning at Fight Club."

"Want to be ready for the next spitting alligators thing, huh?" Hurley said.
