4th Floor Common Room: Very Early Sunday Morning

Despite her smart-ass comments to Dimitri the other day, Rose was having trouble getting used to Fandom's daytime schedules again.

She found herself wide-awake in the middle of the night and not wanting to bother Morgana if she was there in their room so Rose made her way out to the Common Room.

Grabbing a bag of cookies, Rose flopped down on the couch and flipped the tv on. It ended up on a bad ninja movie, but she wasn't so much paying attention as she went over the events of the week again.

Hayley was having trouble sleeping, herself. She'd quietly made her way out of her room, and followed the noise down the hall. She stepped in, apprehensive. She wore simple white pajamas with little faded pink vertical stripes.

"H-h-hi?" she said, not wanting to interrupt.

Rose had been aware enough to hear the girl come in, and she looked up, giving her a smile. "Hey, come in. Can't sleep either?"

Hayley nodded with a little too much enthusiasm for a tired girl, up and down.

"Been a big day," she said, sitting down on a couch. She curled her legs up in front of herself. "Guess I'm still not settled down, yet."

Kyle looked up from his seat. "Hey, who are you?"

"Hayley!" she said, a little too enthusiastic for the hour. "I just got here today. I live on this floor, honest."

"Hey," Tony said. "You a new arrival?"

Hayley nodded, her head bouncing up and down. "I'm Hayley," she said. "I'm from Gotham, and I live on this floor."

She rattled them off like she was introducing herself on a game show. She smiled at the end, open lipped and toothy.

Tony had been tired enough to crash for a long nap after the picnic. This turned into an early night, which lead to Tony waking up early in the morning and not being able to go back to sleep. Not wanting to disturb the hot new roommate, he slipped out of the room and went to see if anyone else was awake.

"Ooh, ninjas!" Tony said, finding Rose on the fourth floor. He checked the cabinets, found a half-eaten bag of cookies and snagged a pop from the fridge, then plopped down on the couch. "How was your summer?"

"Terrible ninjas in like ski masks," Rose corrected. She grinned over at him and pushed over her bag of cookies for sharing. "It was pretty good. Went fast. How was Vancouver?"

Tony accepted one of her cookies. You could never have too many. "There were demons," he said conversationally. "But other than those and the ghosts, it went pretty well."

"Hey," Kyle called from where he'd taken up space on the far side of the couch. He didn't recognize Tony, but that was no reason to be rude.

"Hey!" Tony waved. "You one of the newbies?"

She probably wasn't expecting Kyle to flip over the back of the couch head first. The attempt at cookie-stealing might have been expected though. "Where were you last week?" His lower half followed and he twisted to flop on the part of the rather big couch that no one was sitting on yet.

Kyle was lucky she wasn't still on edge enough to tackle him for that. The cookies were snatched back and held out of his reach.

"Want these?" Rose teased. "Got called home for a bit. Miss me?"

"Why would I miss you? You were hardly gone. But if you don't share the cookies, I'm going to have to eat cereal."

"Whoever made this movie has never met real ninjas," she laughed.

Rose gave her a grin. "Seriously. Look at 'em. They're like wearing pajamas."

"They totally fail at stealth, too," she said, nodding to the one pajama'd guy who was caricaturing his way through tiptoeing around the enemy. "What's the point of black pajamas if you're going to be a goober?"

"Rose has cookies she'd love to share," Kyle said in greeting. Yeah, he was asking for a thumping this morning. Especially since he was sitting right next to Rose on the couch.

Calvin had decided to escape his room (or rather his roomie) as early as possible today, and was dragging Hobbes along with him rather than risk leaving him alone there.

Heading for the nearest source of sound he came up the stairs and into the common room. "Um, hey."

Kyle looked up from the couch. "Cookies." He was eloquent.

"Hey there," Rose said, giving him a bright smile. "Can't sleep or woke up?"

Effy just had jetlag to compete with, and while her roommate was nowhere to be found, still decided to branch out a little.

She nodded a slight greeting to Rose and offered a relatively sociable, "Morning," as she went about finding a mug.
