Andy felt in need of an evening of tv and munchies, surprisingly without an afternoon of smoking preceeding it. So he was sitting on the couch with a large array of candy and chips spread out around him, flipping through channels and looking for something that would hold his interest for more than few minutes.

"Hey, Elle," Claire waved and grinned at the other girl. "How's the new semester treating you so far?"

"Not bad," Elle said with a grin in return. "Of course, all I've had so far is Sex Ed with Mr. Bond."

"Ooh, nice," Claire said. "I only have classes on Wednesdays and Thursdays this term."

"I've got classes every day but today. If my dad could've gotten me a class on Tuesdays, he so would've," Elle said, making a face. "I'm pretty sure he tried, actually."

"What other classes are you taking?" Claire asked.

"Punching People For Fun And Profit, Ethics, and Engineering Math." Elle wrinkled her nose. "I'm taking that last one because my mun thinks she's funny my father apparently thinks it's going to be useful. I disagree, but what can I do?"

"Ugh, math," Claire said. "Though Professor Suresh is cool. He knew another me. But we have class together tomorrow."

"Another you?" Elle frowned, confused.

Claire nodded. "Like a different universe version of me."

"Huh." Elle frowned thoughtfully. "Wonder if that means there's a different universe version of me out there, too."

"Probably," Claire said. "I mean, it wouldn't surprise me."

"Wonder what she'd be like, if she exists..." Elle thought about it a moment. "Ow, that kind of makes my brain hurt a little."

"Right? Totally bizarro," Claire agreed. "But who knows. Maybe you'll meet someone here who knows another you."

"That'd be neat." Elle laughed. "And would be interesting not of the 'oh God, Fandom's trying to kill us all' variety, which would make for a nice change from what I hear."

Claire nodded. "Yeah. Did you hear if there was a you in that wacky Fandom? Rose told me that I had dark hair and was gardening."

"Nope, didn't hear. And I'm not entirely sure I want to know," Elle admitted. "Because I'd have to ask somebody and really, how the hell do you say that?"

"Yeah, good point," Claire said. "Besides, you might not want to know."

"Exactly," Elle said with a nod. "Guess I could always ask Rose if I ever get the burning urge to find out, though. But I'm probably better off not knowing."

"I'd bow at your awesome, but face it." Elle grinned. "Way too lazy to move."

"Clearly I need better minions," Claire joked, giggling even as she spoke.

"How about a rain check on the bowing, then?" Elle was fighting her own laughter. "Or just shove me off the couch so I'm on the floor already anyway."
