The deck, Saturday afternoon

Dinah got back from her coffee chat of GREAT JUSTICE! with Daisy to find that the deck? Was decorated with streamers, balloons, glitter, noisemakers, hats, and wow, flowers.

So a keyed-up Canary was currently batting a balloon around like she was still a cat, and considering ordering a cake to go with all this stuff, wondering whose birthday it was.

"This is better than the syrup," Mat announced to the deck at large, "but I never thought I'd bloody miss the weather at home. What are we supposed to be celebrating?"

"No idea!" Another new cute guy! Dinah waved, and then batted a balloon at him. "It was just here. I think we should hijack it."

"Happy Spontaneous Fun Day!" Dinah sang out. "Thanks! I think we should have music and dancing. Possibly fooood." She grinned at him. "Those are my kind of holidays. Not the really serious or symbolic ones." TWEET! "Have a hat!"

"I already have a hat," Mat said, putting the black hat he'd been holding in one hand onto his head and adjusting the black silk scarf around his neck. "But I wouldn't object to music or dancing."

"Very cavalier," Dinah said approvingly, grinning at the picture he made. "I think I'll run up and get my iPod dock. Get something loud going." She unfolded herself from her seat. "Got a music preference?"

"Something with rhythm," Mat said. "I'm not familiar with the musical selections here, but if they are anything like what was on the tele-thingie, rhythm is hard to come by."

"Back in a flash!" Dinah sprinted into the dorm, ran up to her room, grabbed her iPod and dock, and ran back, plugging them in. Then started running through the selections, and grinned. "This one!" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PlNJU7qBaU) And spun in place.

Dinah spun to a stop, and gave him a woeful glance. "Oh no! How could I do that to you?" She bounced over and grinned at him, holding out her hands. "Can I have this dance, kind sir?"
