Fifth Floor Common Room [lateish evening]

Despite putting herself to bed fairly early, Sookie found she couldn't sleep. So she'd wandered out to the common room in her jammies, made herself some tea, and turned on the television.

Unfortunately for her, this was possibly not the best choice she could have made, in light of what was on the television. She'd managed to catch a cable run of Dusk, and had now set aside the book she'd brought out in lieu of staring in horror-slash-amazement at the screen.

"...if this is what vampires are like at home, I'm not sure it's really necessary I ever meet one. Wow."

[I'm bored while waiting for new canon.]

On the way back to the dorms from Zack's party, Bobby ducked into J,GOB to pick up a bag of cookies. He then made his way (okay, okay, bounced, he'd had a lot of ice cream) up to the fifth floor to see if Sookie was around. He sort of owed her an apology for the disaster in the sixth floor kitchen the other night- hence the cookies.

What amazing luck, then, that he should find her in the common room!

"Sookie!" he greeted cheerfully, flopping down on the couch. "Hi what's up I brought cookies!"

"Only two," Bobby admitted sheepishly. They hadn't actually been for him after all. But they were good! Because they weren't made by him. "I didn't make them," he added. Because that was important.

"...Did you ever actually TRY the cookies we made?" Bobby asked pointedly.

"And by 'really peanut buttery' you mean 'really kinda gross'," Bobby said with a sigh. "Good thing I already know what I'm gonna be when I grow up, 'cause if I had dreams of opening a bakery they'd be crushed right about now."

"Nothing so exciting," Bobby made a face. "Accountant, actually." Just what every teenage boy wants to be. Really.

"Math's, like, the one subject I'm good at, yeah," Bobby admitted with a shrug. "It doesn't come up too often in conversation though... except now."

Oh, like Bobby's concentration was all that great! "You're pretty good at concentrating when you're cooking stuff. Unlike me," he said ruefully.

"Oh," Bobby wrinkled his nose at that thought. And found himself wondering again if the telepathy stuff would ever happen to Jean- the one back home. "I didn't even think of that. That would totally make it harder."

"It's a deal," he grinned at her. "With our powers combined we are totally a force to be reckoned with."
longislandiceme: (is so awesome)

[personal profile] longislandiceme 2009-09-14 03:16 am (UTC)(link)
"Exactly! Our skills will be in high demand because of that. We'd need an awesome team name, though. That's like, pivotal."
longislandiceme: (thinking)

[personal profile] longislandiceme 2009-09-14 03:33 am (UTC)(link)
"Well, we have to tie it in to like, something that's unique about us," Bobby said wisely. "I mean, the Fantastic Four are so named because, well, there's four of them. And the Avengers... avenge stuff, I guess?" he wasn't exactly clear on that.

"Yup," Bobby nodded. "Like X-Men are X-Men 'cause of the X-gene thing." Even if they weren't actually an all-male team anymore thanks to Jean. Shh.

"Ooh," Bobby said, because that was kind of clever. He thought about this for a good two minutes before giving up with a sigh.

"Yeah, I've got nothing. Except a craving for pie," he admitted. Yes, after an evening of ice cream and now cookies. "Maybe being without a codename is like, part of our thing. 'Who was that masked duo?' and all."

"And measuring cups and spoons!"

"Hi Sookie," Hurley said, popping into the common room.

"...the heck is on TV?"

[identity profile] likes-chicken.livejournal.com 2009-09-14 01:53 am (UTC)(link)
"Those are vampires?" Hurley said. "Weird."

[identity profile] likes-chicken.livejournal.com 2009-09-14 01:58 am (UTC)(link)
"I always preferred, like... sci-fi stuff," Hurley said. "Don't like blood too much, so... vampire stuff is out."

[identity profile] likes-chicken.livejournal.com 2009-09-14 02:09 am (UTC)(link)
"Ohhh man," Hurley said. "Total girl movie, huh?"

[identity profile] likes-chicken.livejournal.com 2009-09-14 02:30 am (UTC)(link)
"...well, kinda?" Hurley said. "I just figure there's certain stuff girls and boys like more than each other, right?"

[identity profile] likes-chicken.livejournal.com 2009-09-14 02:35 am (UTC)(link)
"We can put it in its own category," Hurley said. "...we'll call it... other."

He pulled a face. He was trying to be clever and had failed.

[identity profile] likes-chicken.livejournal.com 2009-09-14 02:53 am (UTC)(link)
"Or suck," Hurley said. He laughed, thinking that was funny.
