3rd Floor Common Room [Monday Evening]

After dinner at Luke's, Bobby was still feeling sort of restless. So he went to his room, grabbed a stack of Rebel Justice Unleashed comics and headed back to the common room.

Sprawling lazily on one of the couches, he got to work catching up on the last few issues. Of course, he wouldn't object to company- that was kind of why he was out here instead of reading in his room.

"How else do you expect me to use a minimum of thirty-four footnotes, Bobby?" she asked, tsking.

"You're right, I'm sorry," Bobby said apologetically. "At least five of which are foreign language translations, right?"

"Oui, monsieur," she said prissily.

"Then, milady, I do believe your work would be an excellent candidate for my literary journal, the Serious Journal of Seriousness," Bobby said in an absolutely horrific imitation of an English accent.

"I already have a contract with Solemn Boring Things Monthly," she drawled, clearly trying not to laugh.

"Ah, but we can offer you top billing. And a free keychain." Somehow the accent had transformed into one that was vaguely German in nature now.

Yeah, Sookie'd noticed that, and it wasn't helping with the not-laughing. "A keychain? How pretentious is it?"

"So pretentious," Bobby declared dramatically, "that eet will bring a single, perfect tear to your eye upon viewing it."

"That's so handy, that I'll have it on my keychain to make people weep whenever a moment of poetry is needed."

"Precisely," Bobby nodded. "Our pretentious scienteeests spent many hours tapping their chins and going 'hmmm' to develop this unique keychain."

"Do they have goatees?" Sookie asked, tapping her own chin.

"All except for Dr. Helga von Strickenstein," Bobby said. "Though she did try gluing a fake one on once. It wasn't a good look."

"Aha, but does she have those half-glasses on the end of her nose so she can look down at you through them?" Sookie asked wisely.

"Even better! She has a monocle." Did people even wear monocles anymore?

"Ooh, ooh, and does she have an interest in Art?"

With a capital A, yes.

"Only if it doesn't actually look like anything besides random paint splatters. She's very picky about that."

"Clearly those splatters express the depth of the human condition," Sookie nodded.

"Yes, yes, the pattern of the splatters is a reflection of the artist's fractured inner psyche."
