4th Floor Common Room - Friday Evening

Pretty much the best part of this week was that it was it was over.  Also that there had been teddy bear samurai/ninha fighting in History today  That was awesome.

Beyond that?  Total loss of a week, and Rose was watching it go out to the backdrop of a Project Runway marathon.

...not that she was interested in the show of course.  Just that there wasn't anything else on.  Really.

[*mods the teevee omg as my sad lack of cable means I'm watching yesterday's ep today*]

"See," Cal sighed a little, "now I wish I was a bad cook so that I could actually say that if I wanted to watch people eat bad food, I'd make it myself and mean it."

"I have a masochistic streak," Cal said, shrugging, and wishing he was actually joking.

"As a masochist," Cal pronounced, despite his better sense basically facepalming in his skull, "I encourage it."

He was already at his wits end with these sorts of interactions, usually getting well over his head, so what could one more hurt, anyway?

Cal fought with saying the first stupid thing that came to his tongue, and he utterly lost. He was never any good at fights.

"You wouldn't know until you try."

How was that even remotely and intelligent thing to say? Did he even know this girl's name? He wasn't sure; he was sure that she was cute, but that was about it.

This was it. He was finally in the middle of a female centered breakdown.

Well, another one, anyway.

Cal would have been lying if he'd said he hadn't at least entertained the idea of giving her a fake one. But in the end, truth won out.

"Cal," he said, nodding. "Now what's yours?"
