The Roof; Saturday Afternoon

There were several ways to indicate fall was upon you. Changing leaves, of course, would be the obvious one. You could look at a calendar, which was just a boring way to do it. Or you could check to see if Chuck Bass was wearing his trademark scarf. Which he was. It truly was the greatest time of the year.

Yep, scarf around his neck and a joint in one hand, Chuck was laid back in a chair reading Les Liaisons dangereuses for about the tenth time. It was the only way he could keep his French in check without, you know, actually going to France.

[Look, it was nippy when I went to go get the mail earlier. I declare it fall. Post is open, of course]

Chuck smirked. "Fresh air might be the last thing you find up here on some nights. It's a favorite spot among the smokers in the school."

"Yeah, can see why that'd be," Andy said. "I mean I guess it's nice to not always provide the roomie with a contact high."

"Roomie not interested in herbal extracurriculars?" Chuck asked. "That's a shame."

"Oh, I got him to try it," Andy said, then lowered his voice as he continued. "But he's kind of a lightweight. Two hits and he was gone."

"You should make sure he builds up a tolerance," Chuck said. "All that coughing from newbies is a surefire way to get caught by the administration."

"I'm not worried about getting caught," Andy said with careless confidence. "I could light up in the principal's office and I still wouldn't get caught."

"Fair enough," Chuck said. "I'd be careful around this school's principal though. She's kind of scary, from what I've heard."
