The Roof; Saturday Afternoon

There were several ways to indicate fall was upon you. Changing leaves, of course, would be the obvious one. You could look at a calendar, which was just a boring way to do it. Or you could check to see if Chuck Bass was wearing his trademark scarf. Which he was. It truly was the greatest time of the year.

Yep, scarf around his neck and a joint in one hand, Chuck was laid back in a chair reading Les Liaisons dangereuses for about the tenth time. It was the only way he could keep his French in check without, you know, actually going to France.

"Oh, Chuck, stop making sounds, I'm teasing you," Hannibal said, shaking his head. "I could ask Angela about her little sibling. He's a nice looking guy."

Hannibal was aware Chuck didn't need matchmaking but the mun thought she was a smartass but he couldn't resist.

Chuck frowned. "I don't care if you're teasing or not. Set me up with anybody, and I'll kill you."

"You'll hire someone to kill me," he said, shaking his head. "Unless you've been learning death sports on the sly."

"Romeo taught me how to use a gun," Chuck said. "So if you got close enough I'm fairly sure I could hit you."

"D'you own a gun?" he asked, curious now.

"No. But I'm rich," he said. "So it's safe to say I can get whatever I want, when I want."

"I don't doubt that," he agreed with a shrug. "I'm just curious as to what type of gun you'd go for. Revolvers seem to clunky so probably a pistol of some kind."

"I like the one Romeo had, whatever that was," he said with a shrug. "It had all this religious stuff carved on the side."

Of course Chuck would like a gun because "it was pretty".

"Ah, you go with something for aesthetic purposes," he said but didn't sound teasing. "Friends of mine back home had collections. I think you can customize a gun as much as a car these days."

"I don't think I'd ever buy a gun," Chuck said. "Or at least I wouldn't until I was sure I wouldn't actually shoot myself when handling it."

"Not so sure of that now?" Hannibal laughed. "Keeping your feet safe and other areas safer?"

"Hey, if I got close enough, I'd definitely be able to hit you," Chuck said. "I just meant wouldn't be one of those idiots who runs out and fights things."

"I'm a decent sized target, I hope you'd be able to hit me," Hannibal said and laughed. "Not that I'd stand still if you were coming at me with a fucking gun."
