Third Floor Common Room [Tuesday Evening]

Right, so. Bobby had a teddy bear tucked under one arm as he made his way into the common room. He had a homework assignment and by jove (whoever jove was), he was going to actually finish it before the last minute.

It helped that it wasn't a difficult assignment. Well. In theory.

"Okay, little guy," he said, holding the teddy bear out in front of him and regarding it thoughtfully. "Time for you to do something awesome. Any ideas?"

The teddy bear was not being terribly forthcoming. In fact, he seemed to be downright reticent about the whole thing, staring back at Bobby with a closed-lip expression. Or it would have been closed-lip if the bear had actual lips instead of just a stitched-on smile.

Zack was wandering! Nobody had died terrible deaths at the reserves meeting, which was a bonus, and he was still feeling social, so today was very much a 'pop his head into common rooms until something interesting happens' day.

"Zack!" Bobby grinned, tucking the teddy bear back under his arm. "What's up, big bro?"

"Not much! Just kinda wandering around, you know? It's all... Tuesday, today." Zack gave a solemn nod. That sort of thing totally made sense. Really. "New friend, there?"

It was cuuuuuuute. Aww, bear.

Jaime looked up from where he was sprawled out lazily diligently (somehow) on the couch. Oh, hey, a person!

"Hi," he called without actually sitting up.

Oh, hey! A guy on the couch!

Zack grinned and waved a little hello.

"Hi there, couch-guy!"

"Oh, oh, I've got an idea!" Jaime proclaimed from his apparently-comfy spot on the couch where he was munching on a muffin.

"Sharing is caring, Jaime," Bobby replied. "Whatcha got?"

"Okay, I lied," Jaime admitted. "But I bet if we put our heads together we could come up with something awesome."

"Dude, you're right," Jaime grinned. "And I don't know you either."

"Bobby, sweetheart," Sookie said with some concern as she entered the room, "I'm not sure the bear's gonna talk back."

"Says the girl who talks to the TV," Bobby teased. "In this place, how do you know for sure, anyway?"

"I didn't say it wouldn't," she countered, "just that I wasn't sure it would. And the TV kinda talks back!"

"That's not a safe assumption around here," Hurley said, smiling.

"If it talks back will you scream and run like a little girl?" Ino asked, poking her head into the room and grinning. "I mean, seriously, that'd be creepy."

"The screaming or the talking?" Bobby had to check.

"I would pay to see that," Hurley said. "The, uhhh, Bobby screaming and running. I think I might do that if the bear talks."

"Why," Azula began, "are you speaking to that stuffed bear."

And hear she thought she was the crazy one.

"We're collaborating," Bobby told her. "On a history project."

He paused.

"Okay, really, I'm the one doing all the work because he doesn't actually talk. I just like to think out loud sometimes."

"Hiii," she carolled, because she was in a mood where it seemed like a good idea.

The second Mirax stepped into the common room, she was glad she'd come down. "Are you gonna introduce me to your new friend?" she asked.

"I don't know if we can actually tease Bobby about this," Hurley remarked. "He seems to be having a lot of fun."

"Oh!" Bobby's eyes widened in startlement. "Um. Yes. This is, uh... Mr Bear." It was really kind of impossible to sound cool when introducing someone to a stuffed bear.

Hurley raised an eyebrow when he entered the common room.

"...A teddy bear?"

"Either that or a strange new alien lifeform," Bobby joked. "Though I guess since this is Fandom, that second might actually be possible."
