The Roof [Wednesday, Afternoon]
Even after a couple of hours to uh, get used to her new parts, Effy was still a little unimpressed by the situation. Look, she liked guys. A lot. That didn't mean she wanted to be one, particularly. As sure as she was that it would wear off... It was weird.
Smoking was really her best counter for that sort of thing, and it didn't take her long after sorting out something to wear that actually fitted her before she was getting restless and ventured out on the roof to sit in her traditional spot, cross-legged and pull out a pack.
Her body may have changed, but she definitely had not.

"Think you'll know what to do?" he asked, still laughing. "Different when it's on you."

"Thanks, but I think I can figure it out."
no subject
Most of the time.
"But hey, if you can't figure it out, I'm sure I can get you a diagram or a book or something."

Alex found himself missing Prince Edward for the sheer fact that if he'd still been here, Effy borrowing his clothes would have been HYSTERICAL.

... She hadn't even wanted to think what she'd have ended up in if she'd borrowed anything from Edward.
"Better than wearing anything of mine." That would also have been pretty funny, given what most of her wardrobe was made up of.

"One good thing about ending up a girl was being able to wear my clothes and just having them be baggy as all hell," he said, pleased at that. "I didn't have to go scrounging around for clothes on the verge of tears because my pants don't match my shirt!"
At least, that's what he thought most girls did.

"Lost tattoos along the way," she said. "There's anything distressing, it's that."

Which was probably a good thing, because it was a kind of girly tattoo (http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y12/Binx_349/vlcsnap-5597620.png?t=1253728948). There was a reason guy her wouldn't have had it.

He liked being annoying sometimes.

Usually wasn't taking notes on those things when they were together, as far as she knew.

He liked to think so, at least.
