The roof, late afternoon/evening, Friday

Time for dorm-jumping! Dinah had plenty of gear out for rappelling, and already had her vest and harness on. This time the Sixth Floor wasn't in the middle of construction, so it was going to be a lot easier. Plus, a couple people had promised they'd try it. At least once.

For now, there was grinning off the edge and waiting for people to show up.

[Up earlyish for great justice. It's an open roof, so anyone's welcome to drop by, or assume Dinah told you. Or to see people out your window - ping in to the floor comment with a link to an already-open room or CR, or comment from your floor. This is how it worked the last couple times.]

Which had Dinah laughing so hard she loosed the line, and dropped five inches before gripping it again. "No! Although now I want to try!" She snickered, and grinned at Francine, breathless. "You never know 'til you ask. So I'll always ask!"

"I did that in gym. ...The rappelling, not biting a gremlin. That qualifies as my once in a lifetime hang from a rope and try not to scream moment." No, no it didn't. Every straight-up rope-climbing exercise also qualified as that.

"I wonder what would happen if you did bite a gremlin. Would it still make you crazy? Or would it make them think they were Elvis?"

"Or maybe they'll think they're someone boring? Dick Cheney?" Dinah twirled a second, thinking. "Or a CPA?" She grinned. "If I get bit, I'm biting back, so we can find out." She made a face. "Can't be worse than crickets." Her hair blew in her face, and she sighed happily. "Needed this, after this week." She checked on Francine. "You doing okay?" She had seen Francine looking blue at the party, but that seemed to have cheered everyone up.

Francine smiled for a second, watching Dinah enjoying herself, then looked away for a moment, back into her room, at the question.

She owed Dinah a catch-up on a lot of things, one that wasn't in the middle of class or somebody else's party, or with one of them dangling off the roof, because she wasn't about to start yelling that kind of stuff out the window, thanks.

"Not... really," she said at last, leaning back out and propping her forearms on the sill. "You want to come by here later, maybe, and we can talk?"

Dinah frowned, then nodded. So much stuff had been happening, she had a ton (some of it good, some of it weird) to tell Francine too. "Definitely. After I get done with this, that work? I'll bring cookies?"

"Cookie breeding!" Dinah hooted, and steadied herself on the line again with a grin. "For new flavors and prototypes that can grow into super-cookies!"
