Fifth Floor Common Room, Saturday Evening

Jennifer was crashed out on a couch, watching music videos on some channel that, of course, wasn't MTV (like they ever show music videos.

She couldn't help but hum along with the one currently playing.

Though the lyrics boggled her.

"Wait, what do maps have to do with loving someone like she loves him?" she said at the TV.

At least she had one part of the common room experience down: she had a few big bags of Cheetos to share with anyone who came in.

[ooc: Open to any and all]

Leda snickered. "Nah. Not too lame. It is magical. Sort of. See the energies of the world and of Faerie mix in strange ways. So magic and technology are unpredictable there."

"Or you might somehow get through to Japan, or tune into a radio station or something."

"It does. But it works the same way for magic. With both things it's best to keep it simple. The less complicated something is, the more likely it is to work. Lots of people have cars or bikes powered by magic. The most expensive ones have spellboxes and an internal combustion engine."
