Having handwavilyomg put up some very, very poorly spelled signs with Tara for people to know about this, Merlin was more than happy to get things started.

If only because there had been some rather insistent candy yesterday and he'd tried some out of pity and now believed Halloween may be evil. So, there was that.

But he had everything all set up and hopefully there wouldn't be an attack of some also horrible sweet from his time. But this was Fandom, so that was an actual concern. Damn Fandom.

Karla finished peeling the apple. She ran into a bit of difficulty with the 'all in one piece' part, but managed to keep it in one long strand with a bit of fancy knife work.

"And now I just throw it?" she checked. "No fancy incantations or anything like that?"

She was pretty sure she remembered the landens peeling apples and tossing them. She wondered if this was the same thing.

"Not unless you have a spell for apple peels," He replied, stifling a grin.

"Now you're going to have me going through this entire bushel trying to make up and apple-peeling spell," Karla teased lightly, tossing the peel over her shoulder.

She spun around and looked at the peel, tilting her head this way and that trying to figure out what letter it was. "Can you tell what that is?" she asked, nibbling on the rest of her apple. "I'm not entirely sure that's a letter from an alphabet I'm familiar with."

Merlin frowned, trying to puzzle it together. "An 'm', perhaps?"

"Are you sure it's not an 'E'?" Karla asked, tilting her head sideways to examine it.

"...Stop trying to convince me you're my one true love, Commander," she admonished lightly. "Toying with my heart is just cruel."
