Fifth Floor Common Room, Sunday afternoon

Raven was still fairly floating from all the compliments and attention she had gotten last night, especially from Jono. She had discovered what the proverbial Cloud Nine was. Perhaps even Cloud Ten.

Right now she was curled up on a couch, more daydreaming than paying attention to what was on the TV, which seemed to involve something about lizards pretending to be people and stealing water and eating humans and no remake was going to top Jane Balder as Diana, thank you very much.


[ooc: Open for all your fifth floor and/or loooove needs (she's also at the Samhain Celebration). I may disappear for an hour because my cats demand I go to the grocery store and get them treats, but other than that I should be around solidly for the afternoon/evening.]

"Hey Raven," Hurley said, coming into the common room. He had a CD in his hand. "Sorry I didn't make it to trick 'r treating last night. I, uhhh, knocked over a couple of the displays and had to clean up the store."

"I am sorry to hear that," Raven said. "I looked for you but did not see you. I thought perhaps your ninja costume was extremely effective."

Hurley chuckled. "Yeah, sadly the costume didn't actually give me ninja coordination or else I wouldn't have knocked anything over in the first place."

He smiled at her, a little awkward. "I, uhhh, made this for you."

He held up a CD which was full of New Age and Classical music he thought she'd like.

"Thank you, Hurley," Raven said, taking the CD. "You made a collection of music for me?"

"Yeah," Hurley said. "Since I had some extra time at the store and stuff. I just... you know. Thought you'd like it. And stuff."

"That is very kind of you," Raven said. "I cannot wait to listen to it. I am sure it will be delightful."

"Cool," Hurley said. "Just... let me know and stuff. If you like it, I can make you more. If you want, yeah."

He was smiling, but he was nervous. He really wanted her to like it.

Raven gave him a reassuring smile. "I will definitely let you know," she said.

"Awesome," Hurley said. "So, like, how were you dressed last night? Did anyone get a picture?"

"I think there were people taking pictures," Raven said, "but I do not know if I ended up in any of them. I found a pair of black wings and wore a black and purple dress with it." She wasn't going to mention the boobs, she was still a little embarrassed about that.

"Oh, you must've been beautiful," Hurley said. "I'm sorry I missed it." He looked disappointed.

"Perhaps there will be a costume party soon," Raven said. "It would be a shame not to be able to wear it again." She might look into adjusting the neckline juuuuuust a little though.

"When's your birthday?" Hurley asked. "Maybe we can have a party then, if it's soon."

Smooth operator was mining for info.

"The date on Earth would have been December 13th," Raven said. "That is what I was told."

"Oh, awesome," Hurley said. "So... only a month or so away. Cool. We'll have to celebrate it big and stuff."

"That is not necessary," Raven said. "But I would certainly not refuse a party."

"Good," Hurley said. "Cause I wouldn't want to do it if you didn't want to. But if you want a party, a party you'll, like, get."

"I have never had one before," Raven said. "I think it would be fun."

"Then we better make up for all the ones you missed, too," Hurley said. "You're getting a big cake. Really big."

"You are so sweet, Hurley," Raven said. "Now I am eager for it to be December."

Hurley blushed a bit. "Me too," he said. "It'll be awesome."

"Hi Raven." Robin said upon spotting her in the common room. He headed for the fridge for something to drink. "Can I get anything from the fridge for you?"

"Thank you, Robin," Raven said, "but I have some tea already. It is kind of you to offer, however."

"You're welcome." He came over to join her on the couch, but when one of the Aliens did something scary, he 'eeped' and hid behind the cushions.

"I can change the channel," Raven offered. "I did not realize this would be frightening."

"I'm okay. I mean if you're interested in watching it I don't want to make you change it just for me." Though it would be very sweet of her if she did.

"I am not fond of violence, either," Raven said. "Even simulated."

"What sort of shows or movies do you like?"

"Dramas, I think," Raven said. "Ones with a great deal of emotion. I find them fascinating."

Robin hadn't seen too many of those. He liked adventure stories and comedies mostly. "Like romances?"

"Romances as well," Raven said, nodding. "I do not truly enjoy movies with a great deal of violence or horror."

"Do you have a favorite?"

"Not as of yet," Raven said. "I have not seen many."

Robin hadn't seen many either, so he couldn't really recommend any. "Do you like music?"

"I like classical music, and what you call 'New Age,'" Raven said, nodding.

"I'm not sure I've ever heard any new age music."

"Some of the artists I enjoy are named Enya and Loreena McKennitt."

"I'll have to check them out." It would certainly make it easier to serenade her with music she liked if he familiarized himself with it.

Jon had skipped the Halloween festivities because his mun was dead because he'd been having fun doing other things with Claire and sleeping. He needed food though, and was wandering through the common rooms, hoping that someone had cooked something to share.

What he found was Raven and one of his favorite movies on television.

"Hey, Raven. How's things?" And why did he suddenly find her hair so damn fascinating.

"Hello, Jon," Raven said. "If there is something you wish to watch, you may change the channel. I am not really paying much attention to this movie."
