Hannibal knew that, technically, he should be spending his free time practicing so he wouldn't make a huge fool of himself when he finally fulfilled his requirements for losing his bet with Kate. Instead, he was sprawling in the common room, lights off, with a loud, action packed movie on the television. He'd ordered himself a pizza and decided that pretending that he didn't have humiliation in his future was a much better plan.

"It's kind of awful, but all the actors look alike to me these days," Didi said. "I have no idea if either of them is really English or not. If he's fooling you, we may as well count him as English."

"I love movies, but I'm pretty sure you'd make fun of my taste," Didi said. "I like Disney. And musicals. Happy stuff."

Yes, Jono was not surprised that Death liked happy things.

"My boyfriend thinks I'm predictable," Didi said in mock sorrow. "Great. Now I'm going to go and rent some foreign movie about people with cancer to impress you."

The concept of death didn't bother Jono so much. The process of dying, on the other hand, seemed decidedly less like something he wanted to dwell on too much.

"... I think that's all of them, Jono," Didi commented wisely. "Sometimes they change and it's happy bunnies. Or happy elves."

Jono was not terribly well-versed in Disney movies involving princesses, no.

"I don't think I've ever seen the little orphaned deer sing," Didi said. "Maybe that's the next movie."

They were tiny! And green! And kind of cutesy already.

"I have!" Didi said. "I go for walks sometimes, y'know? They're hard to see, but I've spotted a couple. I'm surprised no one keeps them as pets."
