first floor rec room / makeshift clinic | saturday | december 5

Dr. Alex Karev was stressed. People just kept coming and getting sick and dying on him. He couldn't seem to save anyone. Medical school, internships and residencies hadn't prepared him for being a real doctor. It was just so hard. But he was determined. And he was ready to give medical aid and advice to those who needed it. He'd handwritten signs and stuck them around the dorms that said SICK PEOPLE THIS WAY and pointed them in his direction.

After that, it meant moving things out of the way and getting himself some cots and chairs and curtains. He hadn't ever been away from Seattle Grace before but a small clinic would give him more of an opportunity to expand and help more people.

Plus, it meant he was in charge too. Alex, you see, liked power. This was his clinic and he'd run it how he damn well pleased. He might not be all that prepared to be a full fledged doctor but the best way to learn was jump into the fire and get some practical experience.

He was a doctor, dammit.

[this is exactly what it looks like! makeshift clinic post for those that are in comas, preggo, have tropical diseases, or just wanna hang out in hospitals and talk to doctors who are always on breaks like people do on soaps! alex totes thinks he's a doctor and a damn good one. he has awful bedside manner so be prepared! first floor is open to everyone!]

Dr. Lily was just trying to make sure everyone was taken care of. She feared an outbreak of cirrhosis and wanted to be prepared.

After spending a little extra time making sure his hair had the right mussed look, Griff headed down to stalk visit his roommate and bring flowers to the coma patients.

"Wow, the signs are really looking good," he said, loving them because Alex had made them, not even caring what they said.

After waking up with a headache, of course Jean had to go to the clinic to be checked out.

She could only pray it wasn't a return of her non-specific brain cancer that nearly ended her young life when she was still a child. "Is there a doctor here? Please! Someone! I need a doctor!"

Oh dear, she was swooning now.

Griff was totally glaring at Jean. She would not be getting any flowers from his flowers for the sick committee.

Whore.

Lance Sweets, Doctor Extraordinaire found his way to the makeshift clinic and decided that any sick people might be in need of his amazing medical skills. From brain surgery to delivering babies, he would provide whatever services were needed.

Mirax stumbled into the clinic, holding her head. It had at least been a very pretty head injury, one that caused no bruises or bleeding. "Can you help me?" she asked, dramatically.

Martha was standing in the back of the room, waiting to see if anyone needed her. She knew better than to think anyone like her could ever run the clinic, but that didn't stop her from dreaming about it sometimes, when she wasn't fantasizing about having a love interest. Or more than five lines.

Angela was serene and lovely as she sat in the waiting room. No one looking at her would ever guess that a rare tropical brain virus -- contracted while she was volunteering in Costa Rica -- was slowly but fatally turning her brain to jelly. She'd woken up with the gushing nosebleed that inevitably heralded the disease's last stages.

She concentrated on her rosary-- holding a handkerchief to her nose with the other hand -- as she waited for a doctor.

Dinah was just wondering what the heck was going on. She'd already run into a few friends who seemed to be generally crazy, so now she was checking on other people.

"Hey, Alex." Dinah gave the 'clinic' and the SICK PEOPLE sign a wary look. "What's up? Some kind of epidemic?"

Zayne made his way to the very professional hospital. He had questions. Serious questions. About suffocation.

The part of Martin Blank will now be portrayed by Lorenzo Lamas. Back when he was hot.

Martin stormed into the room, his long flowing locks of hair flowing in the wind, his pectorals throbbing in concern.

"Where is my wife!" he demanded. "Where is she, damn it! I want to see my wife immediately!"

Jack stumbled into the clinic, bleeding from a fatal gunshot wound.

"Doctor!" he gasped. "DOCTOR!"

Sokka had been to every single oncologist canser doctor in America (EVERY SINGLE ONE), and none of them had been able to help him. But, hey, this place looked new.

He walked in and sat down, waiting to be triaged. Occasionally, he winced and put a hand to his forehead when his braine canser acted up.

Momoko was a wee bit bored, so she figured she'd head down to the rec room for a bit... She was not expecting it to be a hospital.

"What in the world is going on?"
